How does your game fit the theme?
I aimed to create a game with controls so direct that the player would be flailing their arms around as they played. The point which falls "Out of Control" is the player themselves.
Did your team create the art for this game during the 48 hour time slot?

Loved it - The theme, art and music are all great. It’s a very cathartic game to play.
As a fellow typing game maker, I love this! Cool gimmick too!
Very fun game, I love the dark undertones in the narrative.
Had a lot of fun and I'm glad my key caps are rated for 3 million clicks.
My keyboard...nice submission! Btw there are a few gamedesign opportunities for you - for ex. flip the key board at times! :)
I regret that I didn't play piano in childhood as a preparation for this game!
I had $4xx dollars but the spooks got me before I could nuke x''( Curse you keyloggers!!
This must have been sponsored by keyboard manufacturers.
I love the idea and gameplay even though my fingers hurt now. Also I like the graphics: it has nice color palete that's easy on the eyes and doesn't distract you from button mashing.
Issues I've noticed: the soundtrack loop is too short and gets repetitive, and it wasn't obvious that the therapy heals you too (glad I used it when I was running out of
controlhealth)Pretty fun and unique idea. Absolutely caused myself problems by continually hitting the Windows key, but that's on me. :P Liked the simplistic art style, and I've already said I respect any game that uses Bosca Ceoil for its music. Nice work!
Also, here's your bad fan art (accurately represents my flawless strategy):
I love this! thank you
It was fun after imagining that what the screen showed was my actual keyboard as if a "keyboard x-ray vision". Could see a touch-type barrier of entry for my case though. But well done!
try hitting a bunch of keys at once! touch typing skills shouldn't be needed ^^
This could be a nice touch-typing trainer game. I like it
originally the letters were printed on the keys in game, but for some reason during playtesting my flat mates would start looking at keys instead of mashing the keyboard when they played. I wonder how the concept would stand as a typing game where accuracy matters ^^
thank you for playing too!
The keys map really nicely to the on screen keyboard. I noticed the CTRL key does NOTHING... out of control huh? :)
Lovely artstyle, good soundtrack and tight game loop! Good stuff.
I mapped the whole keyboard at one point! but smashing keys like ctrl and alt makes things super fucky!
thank you very much
The ultimate roll-face-on-keyboard game!
Definitely woke up my neighbours, a really fun experience!
Cool game, felt like a hacker in a movie
This is shockingly fun for a game where you are just mashing the keyboard for the most part! Very satisfying and it gets intense near the end. I didn't manage to get the good ending (money was hard to come by near the end) but I had a lot of fun with it. Good job!
Keyboard mashing has never been more fun! Cool interpretation of the theme!
cheers!
Feels like a day at the office fixing bugs and drinking coffee ! Nice look and feel, you should consider to extend a bit the soundtrack ; one bar is a bit repetitive.
I should've used something pre-made looking back, it was made in the last half hour of the jam. I just threw some 5ths at the screen and plugged it in.
Watchu mean this is not actual cyber security advice?!?!?
Nice game!
Very original concept! And a unique approach to the theme, the presentation was solid and the game-play had a unique skill based system with recognizing keys without their letters. Only criticism would be that the game play is a bit too repetitive, I know that's the point but maybe something as simple as different colored spooks with different hp levels could work. Overall, solid game and great concept!
That was definitely something I wanted to do, I had sprites for cyborg and zombie spooks made and ended up without time to Implement them.
Thanks for the feedback!
Gotcha, I noticed that 16 minutes before deadline submissions lol. Time always gets ya, I submitted mine early but only cus it was 4 AM and I could barely look at a computer screen, let alone write code.
We'll get in better next time! haha
