Very Polished game, I Love It :)
I would be very happy if you would play my game.
Beautiful art style and mechanics! Great game! :)
Thank you! :)
Nice and polished game. I love the art style and sound effects. Puzzles were great ballanced, but thanks for the hint in that one puzzle, because I wouldn't solve that just by myself.
Thank you for playing!!
Great game, really a lot to expand on here. Like others...Bridge, but I got it after I read the explanation.
Easy thing to fix though going forward and why these play sessions are great to find where it needs to improve.
Nice work!
Thanks a lot for playing! :) Agreed, the feedback has definitely been invaluable.
Very well crafted. I really like the gameboy color aesthetic. It has that Metroid 2 Return of Samus vibe. That being said, I do feel like something is missing, and I didn't always know what things did.
Thanks for playing! By "missing", do you mean the puzzles weren't intuitive, or something else? I know of a few specific ones that are pretty unintuitive (and I hope to fix in a post-jam version).
Incredibly polished and well made, absolutely loved it, very simple but cool mechanic, nothing too fancy going on but everything is done extremely well, like others i tought some parts were a bit too tight and unforgiving, but didn't hold me up for more than 5 minutes, it was really really cool, incredible job!
Thanks a lot, and thanks for playing! :D
Great graphics, sound and music! Most of the puzzles are really cleaver and I love the mechanism!
BUT I got Stucked like the other is the bridge, then after reading your answer I passed that but, I cant get throw the abysm! XD may be I am just dumb!
Really nice work!
Thanks for playing! :)
By abysm, do you mean the part where you have to jump down? To do that part, you have to trigger the button in midair so that the gate can catch you as you fall (otherwise you'll just fall in the acid).
This game is wonderful. I voted 5/5 on everything.
The Mechanic is really fun, and great to explore with. The game is very original as well. The presentation is beautiful, I love the aesthetic! Also, I enjoyed the audio and the snappiness of the Ki.
I got stuck on the bridge at the first checkpoint like others did. Consider adding a gif that demonstrates how to get through that part if possible.
Wow, thank you so much for the kind words! Really glad you enjoyed the game!
Good idea about demonstrating how to get through the bridge part - I added a GIF with some explanatory text in the game page!
Stuck on the bridge, as the others :( The art is lovely and the core mechanic is nice, good job!
Thanks for the kind words, and sorry about that bridge!
Really nice and cute and well executed :)
Thanks! :D
nice game and cute pixel art.
Thank you very much!
Yo great game! hate to say it but I got stuck on the bridge too :)
Oof, sorry about that bridge! Thanks for playing!
very nice answer to the game, the game felt very engaging from the start and it was cool puzzles, I really liked the switch when jumping max height to access new levers, great job!
Thanks a lot! :)
Fun mechanic, but like other's I got stuck on the bridge and couldn't figure it out
Thanks for playing! Yeah, the bridge part was a bit steep.
great game. The bridge was slightly demanding
Thanks for playing, yeah I should've designed the bridge a bit better...
That bridge ! Aargh :-)
Well done !
Argh, sorry about the bridge, haha. Thanks for playing! :)
great game! got stuck on the bridge bit. but really well put together!
Thanks for playing! Yep, the bridge could've been designed better. x_x The key "insight" is supposed to be that your Ki is a bit faster if you're already moving in the direction that you send it, but I should've made that less subtle.
ahhh, nice. I really like it generally, think maybe the insight could be tested without death maybe... but hey good work
Really enjoyed it! The controls all felt really tight, the visuals are great, and the puzzles are all engaging. I wish it was a little longer or had some more varied uses of the Ki in later puzzles, but that comes with the territory on Game Jams.
I kept wanting the option to have my Ki move faster with a shorter time window, but that's probably just because I'm impatient and always throw myself headlong into danger in platformers.
Thanks! :D
Yeah, length or variation was definitely something I wish I had had more time on. There were a couple of interesting other mechanics that I didn't get time to implement.
Interesting thought about the Ki speed! I think if it were made faster, I'd also have to tighten up the controls a bit? I'd worry that the floatiness would be too frustrating otherwise.
Thanks for playing!
This game turned out really well tho I have NO idea how to do that part with the two bridges. Any advice? But very nice job on this. Good art and sound and feel
Thanks! Yeah, sorry about the two bridges puzzle - the key insight is that your spirit gains some extra speed if you're already moving when you release it, but I should've made it less subtle.
Looks really good! I wasn't really sure what to do about the dual bridges since I couldn't regain control in time to jump while my spirit toggled the bridge, so I completed it by standing almost pixel-perfect on the bridge to toggle the switch on the other side. Or maybe that was the solution?
I like the platforming and the environment is beautiful. I'd love to play more!
Thanks for playing! Yeah, sorry about the bridge level, the design wasn't great there. The mechanic that it was supposed to teach was that your spirit gains some extra initial speed if you're already moving when you release it - so if you just stand near the edge and release it, you won't reach the switch, but if you're already running towards the edge, you will. But unfortunately I think I made it too subtle of a boost, that players didn't actually notice it.
Ahhh that makes a lot of sense! I definitely didn't notice the speed boost, so I thought the switch was just placed a bit too far away. At least I was able to get by to enjoy the rest of it :) Thanks for making the game!
