wonderful game, the combination aspect is really well done and the game is quite polished, only things i noticed were in the early levels the hitboxes were a little small and the music cut out in the later levels

Fun. Absolutely chaotic, but fun. If I had one suggestion, it would probably be to reduce the player's health. I only lost when I decided I was done and just let myself get hit repeatedly. I also found the "charging gem" to be kinda annoying to use, and I found myself trying to avoid it when I could. Otherwise, it was quite fun.
Frenetic good fun :)
I enjoyed it, but I think the waves could have been shorter, and I think you might have benefited from introducing the various upgrades (and thus their combinations) gradually, so that the player could really learn them and make more strategic decisions.
Which is not to say I didn’t have a lot of fun blindly shooting and being surprised with whatever weird and wonderful assaults my ship game out with :D
A fun and interesting mechanic! I also like the music! The concept is executed wonderfully and the game is fun to play!
The only thing I wanted to see was more game juice, more particles, camera shake and the other good stuff, that would definitely make the game a lot more fun to play! I also think that the waves should be shorter, I had to wait a long time to advance to the next wave, and the game is kind of boring in the first wave, and it only gets more interesting after we advance more waves and new enemies start spawning
Overall an awesome entry to the jam! Great job!
Thanks! Yeah, it's hard to ever get enough juice, especially in a game jam, but some more particles, sounds, and camera shake could definitely help. I agree that shorter waves would be good. Initially we were going to have the waves timed to the music, but eventually went with them just being 2.5 minutes each if I remember right. Glad you enjoyed it after more enemies started spawning!
Cool idea and a fun aesthetic! I'm a big fan of this kind of gameplay, and I can see the good link to the theme :) Good job!
This is really solid. Only two issues I ran into: I had no idea right mouse button also worked and you're basically invincible.
Yeah, if there was time I would ideally have liked to put in an interactive tutorial rather than just an instruction screen, but you know, game jams. And the difficulty is a recurring piece of feedback that I also agree with wholeheartedly. All enemies except for maybe the basic chasey ones should have more damage probably.
Fantastic game! Main issue was that despite my best efforts I couldn't die. I loved the combination of gems aspect and it was very smooth to play, although the guitar made it confusing as to what direction I would shoot in (I thought at the beginning it would shoot in the direction of the neck of the guitar). Great job!
You're actually the first person to mention the guitar, but I definitely agree! That was something I though about a few times during development but never got around to changing, but that definitely threw me off a few times while playing as well. And of course, as most people have pointed out, the difficulty definitely doesn't ramp up enough as you said.
Really really fun game, and I loved all of the different weapons that I was able to use! Though I would make it a little easier to die, there was a point that I realized that my health hardly went down and I was actively trying to die and it wouldn't let me. xD very fun concept though and a nice twist on a top down!
Really fun. Hated the charge weapons at first, but I figured out in the right combos they could be really great. Yellow + Red, for example, was a great way to disengage from a large group safely. Some of the SFX got real bass-y, to the point that they were bottoming out my headphones, so maybe tweak those in a QoL update.
Got to 114900 however then I couldnt find the remaining enemy.
Plays really goood and I like most of the weapons except the charge ones.
Also kinda easy, but really well executed.
Lots of fun! Very easy at the moment but it feels so good to tear through the enemies that it doesn't really matter to me. Tooke me a while to work out chords vs riffs so a little more signposting/tutorial there would be great. Very good good submission!
Thanks! Yeah, the lack of difficulty is by far the most common feedback we've gotten, and I definitely agree, but I'm glad it didn't detract from the game to much for you. I also agree that some kind of hint about what each gem does would be helpful, so it's easier to predict what each combo will be.
Ideal scope carried out really nicely. I didn't expect to sink so much time into it but the juice and number of combinations is really engaging.
This game was really fun. The insane amount of item combinations and synergies kept the game feeling fresh. I always felt like i was constantly finding new combinations of items. Overall a great game.
Combining different weapon effects is a super cool idea and you made it work really well. Great job!
This is incredibly fun, it looks great, and everything is very polished. At the beginning I was a bit underwhelmed, but after seeing that the timer on top switches the music and introduces new enemies I was really digging it. Great music, great powerup combinations, great enemies, great sound effects, overall I really loved it. Nicely done! :D

Great interpretation of the theme! I found this game a little too easy, it took a while for me to actually die, but it was fine because I was immersed by the awesome flashy visuals, and fascinated in seeing all the weapon combinations - which did not disappoint!
