Cool game! It's always interesting to see games that are similar in concept to mine but still very unique! I also love how the game looks and sounds! I didn't manage to finish the whole game (maybe at some point I'll be able to, I'm stuck on 11 right now). I found it pretty difficult, but mostly in a good way! If y'all end up working on this post-jam it might not hurt to try to tweak some of the physics a bit to give a little more of time for the player to make jumps (e.g., maybe lowering the gravity a bit or changing some speed values). A lot of that is subjective though, so whatever seems best!
Also, there's a minor bug where you can get stuck on walls sometimes, which isn't a big deal but can be a little frustrating on the longer levels. And one more thing, should you be able to click and hold inside the wind if you walk into it already holding the ball? I felt like I might be cheesing some parts by doing that, but I wasn't sure haha!
Overall, awesome job! Definitely going to try to go back to finish it!
Thanks for valuable feedback! I completely agree on the points you made.
This is a really fun game. The movement mechanic took a little time to get used to but it turned out pretty enjoyable.
The levels were fairly hard for me but not that much - I think it's the perfect balance between too easy and too frustrating, right on point. Except for level 13 or whatever (the one with buttons floating mid-air) - I didn't see where to continue and quit the game because I thought it was the last one unfortunately. Either increasing camera view or adding a couple arrows here and there could help.
I think this game could become a full Steam release, awesome!
Thanks for the feedback!
Full score for this one because I found it really original. Great jumping mechanics, great graphics, amazing platformer that tests your reaction and skill. Really enjoyed playing this one, great work!
really fun, especially movement
Really enjoyed it. Super fun to move around. I just wish there was a way to check where you are going so you don't fling yourself into spikes that are off screen.
Now this is a movement mechanic that has some weight to it.
It would be nice to have a movable camera, as there were a few sections were you would die because have you not seen this area.
I liked this a lot. Powerful move mechanic you can master! Love how you're faster after you launch the ball and get some much welcome air control. Potential for future mechanics, like a button to hit the ball with. The levels got too difficult later in the game and I didn't complete it, unfortunately.
Yeah, buttons were high on our list of what we would want to include, thanks for playing.
really cute pixel art and an interesting theme. I had a hard time understanding that after throwing the ball when I retract it, I need to move at the same time. But when you pass that, that a super clever idea and fun to play, good one!
Cool game, like that we had a similar take on the theme!
Would love it if you checked out our game as well! :D
Really nice puzzle platformer! The main mechanic fits the theme well and the art and music are perfect. I discovered quite quickly that you could actually beat a lot of the levels without having to move with the arrow keys, so you could lean into that a bit and add a sticky surface or something that means you can only move by using the ball and chain. Really simple and nice game!
Thanks! That's actually not a bad idea.
Cool dexterity game, the controls feel responsive and it's fun to launch yourself through the levels! Well done!
I got stuck a lot, but that's probably just me haha. Game feels really smooth and well done! I really like how good the character movements are.
Really cool take on the two characters attached by a chain idea! The presentation was really good, the difficulty ramped up nicely, and the weight and inertia felt really good. I got stuck on level 14, but think I made it most of the way through.
Super unique idea that was executed well with great polish too! The movement felt satisfying. I'm not sure if there was a way to cancel a launch but I found sometimes I shot the ball, and that put myself into a position where i had no choice but to pull myself into a spike. Amazing job overall though!
A lovely and entertaining concept, and quite amusing effects. Good level design to match up with it. If anything, I would hope that the spikes were made a bit more forgiving when you touch them from the side, but definitely some skill on display here :)
Fits the theme well and controls way better than I was expecting. I really enjoy the difficulty curve you chose for the jam. I think it condenses everything really well without being too sudden or blindly tossing you in.
Great execution and a rad fit for the jam!
The movement feels very satisfying but the difficulty of the level ruined it. I would suggest making the levels a bit easy. Other than that, I really liked the game.
Interesting and unique! Really fits the theme!
Very interesting style of movement. The weight really feels good to play with. Great presentation as well!
