Very cool arcade game, the rules are really simple to understand, yet hard to master, and the mechanic allows the player to be creative, that's really fun to play !

The game is pretty fun. Took me a second to realize how I was meant to actually move but I do mean an actual second. The game was very self explanatory which is great. The art style is also nice and basic, easy to understand. The only issue I had is with my widescreen monitor the edges of the map were just black, but that is a very small thing!
Overall great game!
Very cool idea. It is a very well polished game in my opinion. The art is simple, but looks still good. I also like the music and sound effects. Great game!
Nice concept and it is executed wonderfully, the presentation is also great even though it is just basic shapes. I also liked the music
I would suggest making it so the player can not go outside the level, sometimes the enemies could bounce the player outside the level and then I couldn't see what was going on. I would also suggest to improve the camera shake effect a little, the score text in top-left moves weirdly when the camera shakes
Overall an awesome entry to the jam! Great job!
graphics are pleasant and the mechanics are simple enough and refined well, i would like split controlls for movement and shooting, and the shooting charge seems a little too long, but overall enjoyable experience
This game feels really hard. The fact that clicking moves your character AND is required to charge the gun means that I'm often dashing straight into what I'm trying to shot, as my instinct is to click on the thing I'm shooting. Using arrow keys for movement would be an easy fix for this.
Also, the whole joining three together thing to kill the angry circles is fine, but that on top of the wonky movement style and the fact that your laser has to be charged before it's fired is too much. Either let the player move more freely or keep the joined mechanic, but both is just excessive.
I had a hard time with the controls. I kept constantly dashing into whatever I was trying to shoot. I get the idea behind the controls, but I found them incredibly unintuitive. I appreciate the idea of trying to tackle multiple jam themes at once, but I wonder if that came at the determent of playability. I think this is a pretty good game, but I just had a hard time with it.
Thanks for the feedback. We get that the balancing of the game is currently a bit on the difficult side and we might have made the learning curve a too steep. As for the movement, we experimented with different control scheme a lot and landed on the one click design because we wanted to "join together" the movement and shooting aspects and by doing so force the player to think in both positioning and aiming at the same time. We will continue to work on the design and make the control scheme more intuitive and snappy.
There's always something fun about shoot-to-move. I think as you are charging, you're movement direction should head towards where you're facing. That way you get to turn as well and it would make dodging more fun
Tricky little game :) I suggest two things:
- Have a little slowmo once you're fully charged so it is easier to aim
- Show how hit balls will move with the aim line
Otherwise nice and clear visuals, and the game is explained in-game at the beginning, which is also a plus. Well done!
Intersecting idea! It would be helpful if the player could wrap around the screen, instead of getting stuck offscreen.
I liked a lot about this. The simplistic art and known gameplay worked really well to focus on what was going on. The controls were a little tricky and I wish there was a way to move without charging (or could continue to move while charged in some way). Also, I may have missed it but I could not see my health in any manner in game so it was tough to gauge how good/bad I was doing. The feel as you group together a bunch of circles and then get them to pop together was really satisfying.
Getting the hang of the controls took a little while, but it was pretty enjoyable once I figured it out. Cool concept, I like it!
Great game, really fun! Moving around and dodging everything is very enjoyable, it responds to your inputs really well. What I really missed is some billiard-like physics, but other than that it was nearly perfect! Oh, and I also loved that you combined all the themes from the old jams, well done!
We actually did have billiard-like physics in day 1 of the Jam but we cut it out after some play testing because it became too difficult to aim. It could be a nice idea in the future for some difficulty progressions tho, maybe like the different weapons in downwell! Thank you so much for your feedback. We will definitely keep it in mind when updating the game in the future.
