Nice use of a chain mechanic, in combination of the mirrored movement mechanic.

Cool Idea! I always find it challenging to control two things on the same time.  It's a puzzle game, so there is no time pressure. I think it would be nice if there were not as long distance between "two puzzle sections".

Looks nice
Good implementation of the chain mechanic

The art is so cute, and the game is pretty fun although it took me an embarrassingly long time for me to realize that the movement of the characters corresponded with the movement of the bat. So after dying  like 10 times not knowing how bats work I eventually figured it out and then felt like an idiot for not realizing lol. Once I got that though the game was very fun and the puzzles were nice, great job.

Really adorable game!  Got stuck a few times and my characters couldn't move, but I'm sure that will be fixed in a future patch!  Really adorable art style and I love the music that was put with it!  Fantastic work!

Awesome idea, really nice mechanics that work together quite well.  The chain physics is phenomenal, the fact you can actually get stuck cause of a tree is sick (first time i was ever hype about this feature in a game lol).  Also once I realized the other creatures react to my movement, the entire open-world esque environment became a neat little problem/puzzle to solve.  I thought the implementation of this was quite smart and well done.

Art is incredible obviously, if it was actually done from scratch that is mindblowing you got all that done so quickly & so well.

I feel like some communication for when you can't seem to move cause of the rope would go a long way to stopping people from getting frustrated. I got annoyed at it cause i didn't see it very well when it got stuck somewhere or just simply when it was stopping me from moving away from my partner, didn't seem to make sense as the chain was still perceptibly loose.

Fantasticly put together game, def in the top of this jam.

Would be cool if you had some time to check out ours as well, n share some thoughts if/when u have a moment :)

Thanks for playing the game Im glad you like it! And thanks for the feedback about the chain, I'm surprised it worked at all because those physics were very difficult to get working where the chain can actually interact with the world aswell getting stuck on things and if you saw how I implemented it in the end you'd laugh and immediately understand why sometimes it stopped you moving when it shouldn't

I think the majority of the assets were created during the jam, but alot of what you see came from or are edited sprites from a youtuber named HeartBeast who makes great tutorials on how to make games using Godot and GameMaker we have listed all of the assets we used from him in the game description:  (Bush, Tree, Cliff Tile, Dirt Tile, Bat Sprite, Fox Sprite, Sound Effects)

I'll be checking out your game today after work for sure!

This is a cool game but saying  that you created the majority of the assets during the time frame is a downright lie. The entire game is basically recolored sprites from Heartbeast's action rpg tutorial. But it's a decent game anyways.

Developer

Sorry if it comes off as being disingenuous but we did try to be transparent and listed every single asset we used from HeartBeast and linked to his channel.

I'm glad you enjoyed the game anyway, yours is great too it has some awesome puzzle design and music

Really nice, very polished. I feel like this interpretation of the theme is quite common but this is well executed. I have to admit that playing this solo feels a bit weird but I'm sure that with a second player it would be really funny. Well done!

Cool Puzzle :D

This looks very polished and well thought out. Difficult, but doable, and it felt good to play. It is also very good to look at. Great job!

Chain physics are really tough, and I noticed that walking around was sometimes very awkward cuz of it. I still think you worked really well with it! Art is really well done too, game looks great.

Nice art work

Great game, I like how I control the enemies as well, and the chain is cool too. Gets pretty tricky

Great game. Love the use of the chain.

I vetoed my team from doing chain physics - really nice implementation here, and very cute. Took me a long time to realize the chain helped dealing with the bats.

Good concept! I like how the chain tugs on the player if they go around oppisite sides of the tree
