Cool idea, but the solutions an be tricky to implement.
Really good idea and nice presentation, good job!
Thanks! :)
I ran into trouble running the game (has happened with a few other games this jam), so these comments are based on the walkthrough. It's a really clever puzzle mechanic and your level design show just how much can be done with it; it fits the theme really nicely too. It does feel like there's a very steep ramp up in the difficulty of the puzzles, though. The helicopter boss is a really cool addition to the game, too!
I'm sorry you couldn't play the game yourself. Yeah I agree the puzzles get too hard too fast, but since its a jam I tried to make the game as short as possible while still showing off its potential. I'm glad you like the helicopter, Thanks for checking the game out!
A great game, especially with the helicopter boss at the end, managed to speed run the second try in a few seconds after defeating him.
I didnt expect a boss fight :o .Great idea executed very well. The puzzles are fun to solve but there are some dificulty curves. The main mechanic is fun to play with. I often found myself missing the wave by a little amount and waiting for the reload. Maybe adjusting the reload speed or the hitbox of the waves can make the game more accessible.
Other than these great work. I can see myself playing this if it was a full game you should definetly work on it :D
Thank you :)
good idea, and presentation is good for 48 hrs too but the puzzles get hard very early in the game. that stopped me from playing the game more
Amazing mechanic!
Thank you :)
Great polished, and super interesting main mechanic. What we need else
Hahah thanks! :)
I absolutely LOVED this game! The mechanics and puzzles were very interesting and had a lot of timing and skill involved. Got some Portal vibes from it.
I managed to get the boxes stuck a few times when they were pushed to the far ends of their platforms, but I managed to get them dislodged after jumping about for like 15 seconds.
The art and sound design was great too ^^
Yeah Portal was one of the main inspirations, I think in general portal is the best puzzle game ever made so I like to learn from it.
The boxes indeed suck, but it seems you discovered the "smash it with your body till it moves" technique :D
Thanks again for checking the game out, Really glad you enjoyed it!
Definitely got me captivated, cool mechanic !
And thank you for the walkthrough, there's one that was really tricky ^^
❤️
I liked blasting stuff with sound. I wish I had less cooldown on my blasting. It was fun tho.
I thought the boss was super cool. However the puzzles were a little clunky at times. Presentation was great!
Yeah the cooldown doesn't feel the best but its important for it to be there so the player doesn't combo of his own waves. I'm so glad that you appreciated the boss since it seems a lot of people get stuck on a puzzle and never see it. I suppose its hard to combine action and puzzles in the same game :) Thanks for checking the game out!
Definitely struggled to figure out how to predict how the sound waves would interact with each other, though that could be the sleep deprivation at work, but, man, what an utterly original idea, such a cool mechanic and others have mentioned I really hope you plan on doing more with it in some regard. Great job!
Thanks! The angle of the combined wave is the average of the 2 waves that joined. While playtesting I did notice that some people struggled to predict it, while others got it right away and had no questions for no apparent reason. Anyway the game could have done with a better tutorial for sure. I'm really glad you enjoyed the Idea, will definitely work on it more in the future
I saw this mechanic before. I'm mean never. Even if you don't make a full game out of this, make sure to use this mechanic in your career, it's golden! Solid Entry!
Haha Thanks! Definitely gonna make a bigger better remaster once the game jam ends.
I love the unique mechanic! The game feels crisp and smooth. Amazing job!
Thank you very much!
I liked it. Most original puzzler I've played yet.
Thanks, Im quite proud of its concept :)
A bit tricky but very nice!
Thanks!
Awesome job! It is a bit hard and I got stuck and couldn't move the cube on the third puzzle, but otherwise really good concept!
Thanks!
Really cool art, puzzle mechanic, and unique use of the theme. I had a few issues though. Sometimes the player character got stuck on the ground, specifically with slopes and the pushable blocks. I also ran into an issue where I was unable to progress because I pushed the blocks too far one direction and couldn't push them back. When I pressed r to reset, I just went back to the last checkpoint with the blocks in the same place. I also found the third puzzle in the first area to be really hard to time. I agree with another comment where someone suggested an aiming reticle for the UI to show trajectory. Even with a few issues, I really enjoyed this game and its unique mechanics. I also really liked the small cutscene in the beginning. It's a bit of extra effort you usually don't get in game jam games. Really great job!
Thanks for the feedback. I agree with everything you said but sadly was running out of time.
Amusingly the bugs with crates and slopes don't happen when I'm running the game. All of my friends and everyone else has it but I didn't so I couldn't have seen it coming. I'm very frustrated by that, but guess that's all parts of the game design process.
Thank you again for checking the game out!
actually really cool damn, good job
Thanks!
Really cool idea, and I liked the intro but for the life of me I couldn't get past one of the beginning challenges where the glass is on the ceiling. Maybe a UI to visualize trajectory would be cool
Thanks you so much. I agree that the 3rd puzzle could have been designed better. Well cant change that now.
And great suggestion about trajectory, should have thought about that, thanks!
