Hahaha this was wild!
Really cute aesthetic and really neat mechanic, solid game!
thank you very much for checking out our game, glad you enjoyed it!
Cute characters. Good stuff
thanks!
Very cool aesthetic, much like nitrome, pretty cute! Good level design, I just wished the throw mechanic would be a little easier to master. But despite that I had a great time!!
thanks a lot, glad you liked it! and I want you to know that I take the nitrome comparison as a pretty damn high compliment :)
A well deserved compliment that is!!
Fun idea and cute characters
thank you!
Loved the art style, and fun to scratch my head figuring out the solutions.
thanks a lot for playing, I'm glad you enjoyed it! :)
I loved your art style. splly cute characters. good job on finishing the game. liked it.
thanks for playing and commenting, appreciate it!
Very cool game! Liked the art style!
Thank you, glad you liked it!
This game has such cool art! It's a cool concept too, just needs some polish. Good job!
Thanks! Totally agree, and we are going to polish it after the jam is over :)
It looks good. Although the jumping heights of the big yellow brainy seems unbalanced, when some levels it feels like cheating with those jumping and a level where you must be pretty careful to light press the button so that it doesn't meet the spike.
thanks for the feedback! yellow guy is floaty, yeah, I'm not gonna say it's the final rendition of the jump physics though ;)
This game is pretty underrated! Such an ingeniuous twist and marvelous level design! I think that there are 2 reasons why people didnt play the game as much.
1. Better indication of what to do(People may have thought only one person needed to go to the end)
2.Most people dont have 7zip (reccomend just zipping it) i do but a lot of people wont download 7zip just to play the game.
3. The tutorial text can easily be missed if someone goes through its hitboxes too fast.
Just some constructive critiscm!
thanks a lot for playing, and the feedback is welcome and greatly appreciated! :) I didn't even think that 7zip could be an issue but I suppose you're right... this was a first game jam for both of us so we messed up our presentation a little. for instance, we forgot how to make the game playable in browser and discovered that it required merely a couple of clicks right after the deadline lol. same goes for the tutorial. we will continue to develop this game and we're already thinking about how to introduce a player to the mechanics seamlessly, with no text at all.
TLDR, we both were panicking for the last two hours so yeah, it is unfortunate but it is what it is. time constraint is punishing in that way. but once again, we appreciate your kind words and the feedback! and you can bet we are not gonna use 7zip next time ':D
This game is great! The artwork gives me 90's Nickelodeon vibes, it is so nostalgic.
thanks for playing! I enjoyed your entry a lot, too. one of the best, actually :)
you're spot on. I was not necessarily a conscious decision but I guess I'm destined to follow 90's Nickelodeon logic when it comes to the visuals
Nice game, the presentation is nice, and the levels are great! Good job!
thank you very much! :)
Really cool! The art style reminded me of Kirby.
thanks for playing! (Kirby wasn't a point of reference for us but I'm glad you find some similarities with the classics)
nice game.
thanks for playing, glad you enjoyed it :)
Really cute game! I had a lot of fun with it, especially the final level before they started repeating!
The controls were a little off, I wish I could pick up my brother while I was on top of him, instead of needing to jump down, and also needing to move to throw him sideways also felt a little awkward, considering I don't think I ever actually wanted to throw him directly upwards, haha.
But overall, really really great entry! Loved it!
thanks a lot for the feedback! totally agree. we meant to utilize throwing upwards though, and we are going to do it. unless the mechanic goes away of course :D
I really liked the puzzles in this one. We also had an idea with two playable characters, but I like your interpretation of it. The last level especially utilizes the mechanics really well. A couple points I would make, some instruction of how to throw your partner would have been nice, as it took me a second to realize that you have to be moving in order to throw them. Also, a notification that every level has been completed, as I was initially a little confused when the levels started looping. I really dig the art and the music, and the animations, especially on the key creature and the door opening are all top notch. I like this one a lot.
thanks for the feedback, points noted, and appreciated! we run out of time to think the tutorial through. hopefully, we're gonna do a better job when the jam is over :)
That is a nice spin on the "control two characters" trope. Well done!
thanks a lot! hopefully, we're going to spin it further :)
Very interesting game!
thank you, appreciate you saying that :)
The art is very good! I love it
thanks a lot!
Looks very good, smooth controls, like the art a lot. One thing would be that the levels seemed to repeat after I beat a few, not sure if there were more levels after that. Sounds good as well!
With limited time we designed several levels. Probably we'll add more because we really like this prototype
thanks a lot for playing, I'm glad you enjoyed it! Yeah, as my partner in crime said, we only managed to design 5 levels for the jam. and there was barely any time to add a win screen so yeah, if you have beaten those 5 you have beaten the game at its current state :)
