Interesting idea, however uno can take too long sometimes.
Thanks for playing.
It's not UNO for sure. How many rules you played?
I played a bit more after my stream. Interesting game, hard to keep track of all the rules.
Yes, it is super hard. After a few levels even are play testers struggled for a while.
BTW where can I find the stream? I would like to see your reactions and feedback.
It's an interesting take on the uno game! Nice work!
Thanks for playing.
It's not UNO but if you know UNO it is helpful.
How many rules you played?
I only made it to two rules. It was really hard trying to deduct what rules were selected, but I enjoyed it :)
2 rules is great. There's a level with with 4+ rules. Super difficult.
Uhh, stopped working 2 round in but I mean interesting :\ Rules should be at least slightly hinted at, seeing as there's not much time between new rule and your turn :| Fine concept tho
Thanks for playing
That's the idea. The theme is Roles Reversed so it does fit it. In a normal card game you know rules here you have to find them.
I love the idea but im mostly just sitting here. Some more strategy and maybe a timer speed up just to add some more depth and interactivity. The visuals are fantastic!
Thanks for playing.
Yes we do understand that a skip turn button would have helped. How many rules you played?
I think just one, I wasnt really sure how the rule mechanic worked
That's what the game is. Remember the theme is Role Reversed. In a normal card game you know rules here you have to find out.
Really fun idea, and nicely put together!
Thanks for playing.
How many rules you played?
Haha what a clever little game! I like it alot!
Thanks for playing.
Really hope you enjoyed the game. How many rules you played?
The concept and artstyle for this game was incredible! I also really liked how well presented the tutorial was for the game! I did experience a lot of bugs though, like:
Design-wise, I think there are a lot of bullshit elements to the game, like how it's really hard to guess a new rule getting added, so winning is really random. I think the rule system has to be reviewed a bit. Also, is there any reason you can't shapeshift when it's not your turn? You don't have much time to pick the card you want to shift to, so it makes the game even harder.
Congrats on submitting!
Thanks for this detailed callout and feedback list! You bring up some great points. We really want more clairty around the rules system to help players get a better sense of reward for the thinking they have to do to win. It would also be nice to, as you and others point out, not be able to win without interaction/intervention. For the transforming limit to the player's turn, this was an intentional choice as a way to make the game harder. Maybe it still feels like there isn't much of a reason which prompts me to think we need to do a better job providing a justification for that choice (maybe a lore/story reason, or maybe by further clamping that rule to one transformation per round limit)! Thanks so much for playing!
Thanks for your review! We are aware of these bugs and are looking into fixing them. All of the mentioned bullshit elements are just a matter of time constraints. I don't really know if there's a reason why you can't shapeshift, probably to build up more tension.
Thanks for playing.
A few bug you mentioned are actually not bugs but a feature for this specific theme. There are levels so you might think you are playing the same game but the rules have changed and after a few rounds you'll get a new one.
Really well done game. Must've been difficult to design a card game with changing rules. Congrats to the team!
The changing rules part was the easier part lol. The hardest part was to get a prototype working for playtesters.
Really great idea, awesome art and especially the cover art ! I loved it
Thank you! Our artists worked hard on this one! :)
W game, it's polished, fun, and interesting. Also fits the theme well. However, it would be nice to see more variety sometimes because in some rounds I would win without touching my keyboard, just watching my little card guy get nervous for nothing lol. Very fun though, enjoyed this one a lot.
Thanks for playing and thanks for the feedback, it would be really nice to have a bit more variety, maybe even the infusion of more types of card games!
This is a super unique card game! I think something that it would benefit from is kind of a log of what's been played recently. So that the player can see the last 3 or 4 cards that have been played. Great submission!
Thanks for playing! Yes we think this is a great solution. It might even be nice to offer an untimed mode for those that are looking for a slower paced detective game!
First game, I won without touching any button 😅
Wow! This is a first for us, I thought it might be possible but its nice to know we also built an idle game 😅Thanks for playing!
I played more and finally had the chance to shapeshift^^
yay! 🥳
Really enjoyed it. Great feel and feedback
Thanks for playing.
Really hope that you enjoyed the game. How many rules did you play?
Like the idea, first game was really easy because I rolled the classic Uno rules so I didn't get the part where the rules are supposed to be a mystery, but rolling other rules can be quite challenging
Thanks for playing.
This game isn't a UNO but if you have played UNO it does help you for sure. There are so many rules that the devs created but due to the restricted time the team could only test a few. The game has 5 levels. There are some levels with 3+ rules and trust me it's very difficult to keep a track and make sure YOU DON'T GET PLAYED.
Yep, saw that on retrying, but at first the rules that were picked for me where "same color" and "same number" so it was quite easy to figure out ahah
Yes, some rules are easy then others. Some rules are as difficult has figuring out if it's a prime or not with maybe a combination of +2 card?
Great idea, and great game!
However its difficult to understand what the rules could possibly be...
Other than that, well done!
Thanks for playing.
That was the idea. In games you usually know all the rules. Here we wanted the player to find the rules on the go and after a few rounds there will be 1 more rule added. This was intended so that players keep playing the game and keep trying to figure out the rules. With a level with 4 rules the game becomes super difficult to not be played in a hand.
Maybe a screen that show all the rules but you don't know which is applied in the level?
Ayo! This game is really cool! I made it to round 9. And I would play it even after the jam. Really great game to pass time.
That's a pretty big team you've got there. Everything from the art, sounds, UI interface and design is so well done! Good job you guys!
Thanks for playing the game.
Yes, the team is amazing. The quantity is not important quality is. The team really worked hard during the 48 hours. All members are super creative and helpful. No one lost any motivation.
Yes, do play the game post jam. Try to reach a level with 4+ rules.
I can't believe this was done under 48h, the art is amazing, the idea is hilarious and the execution is just perfect
You guys did an amazing job, I have nothing to say apart from I wish there were more gameplay to it.
Congratulation on the entry, really well done! I think you are top 100 atleast .. best of luck!
Thanks for playing the game.
Yes, found the complete team 18 hours ago the jam and it was indeed a very productive and amazing 48 hours. All my team members are super creative.
Top 100 isn't the goal. Top 10 is. Just kidding. We are just super happy that everyone is enjoying our game.
Once I figured out trying to "play" myself wasn't the objective I got on a roll! Great job y'all, the music fits the tone super well and the art is awesome, well done
Love that the game landed like this for you even if we didnt intend it to! Thanks so much for playing! The music is wonderful isn't it?
the music was great!
Thanks for playing.
Yes that was our goal. The game is really creative.
It took me while to figure out that I was actually the card itself, I kept thinking why the card had eyes, and then it hit me :D (I should have read the description :D) Apart from my stupidity the game was really fun! What a clever idea and beautiful execution!
We are always looking to make a game so intuitive you dont need to read so its nice to hear we could still do better on that front! Thanks for playing!
Thanks for playing
Really happy that you enjoyed the game.
Hmm, i like it but I encountered some bugs, first the second game never started, only the (turn) graphic was on screen. And second is that I got played as a green 4 even though the rules were "Cards with ODD values" and "Cards that are NOT GREEN", so not sure what that was about. Like the round I got through though!
Hear you on the feedback and sorry you encountered those bugs! Glad you still found some enjoyment in it!
Thanks for playing.
Sorry about the issues. How many rules were there in the game when you encountered the bug?
Started with 2, but it was after I got the first bug of the round not starting (and I refreshed) so maybe it had something to do with that
Sorry, but I am still not sure how do I reproduce this bug. If you can give the game one more go and let me know if this issue still remains?
