This looks great! Loved the style you chose! It was a great take on the theme! The game play was fun enough that I didn't mind all the buffs to the enemies, and it was really fun using my positioning to take down the enemies. Great job!
Now you are officially a fan of vaporwave!

Really love and appreciate your wonderful comment for our game <3
Impressive! Loved the 80s style, and the idea of dodging the turrets blasts to kill enemies is very creative!
Thank you very much for playing our game! <3
Glad that you're enjoying the style and the gameplay, I personally have a soft spot for the retro haha, and I'm glad the team were willing to work with this idea. This whole gameplay mechanic was thought up by our very talented and hardworking developers. The first day was rough, but luckily it all went pretty well at the end.
This looks incredible, very fun to play! Love the windows tab for the title screen.
Thanks for playing and commenting! I am glad you love how the game looks, especially the window tabs for title screen! It was part of the vaporwave style we are going for, I am glad you enjoy it!
Great vibes and really fun way to allow players to "choose" how they want difficulty to ramp up with the upgrades :)
Glad you love the vibes! It does give players choices in how they wish to play the game, they can be endless numbers of strategy of playing this game to get a higher score. Other than that, thanks for playing and commenting on our game!
Fantastic game! Love the strong aesthetic. I have never been both pleased and scared to level up in a game before.
Thanks for playing our game and commenting! I am glad you love the vaporwave style, it is what we call

Finally a game that makes you feel both happy and scared to level up!
Really appreciate your comment!
Everything comes together in this game really well. The balance feels great, and every decision you make feels like it has an impact. The weaker upgrades make the game easier early on, but if you pick them the game will get harder in the end.
As far as critiques go, the 'you just got hit' effect was a bit hard to notice, especially when there was a lot going on. It also would've been nice to see more variation in the enemies' behaviors, beyond just different speed and health, but that's harder to achieve in a mere 48 hours.
The aesthetic felt kind of all-over-the place, but I suppose the lack of cohesion could in itself be an aesthetic. I'm still trying to figure out if I like that or not.
The leaderboard was also a nice touch. Seeing something like that really gives some motivation to keep trying.
We greatly appreciate your detailed review on our game! <3
Indeed it's getting harder to notice anything going on with your character in the late game. We'll take your critique into consideration and see what we can do to make the cue much easier to notice.
Regarding the aesthetic, it's a kind of style called 'vaporwave', it's a combination of 2d and 3d assets to make it feel surreal, and the color palette makes it feels dreamy. Most of the assets are classic retro stuffs, so it kind of makes you feel nostalgic in some way. I guess this is also a kind of 'retro-future' sub-genre.
As for how we came into this idea, we honestly don't know, we were just brainstorming and this came into our mind. We all agreed that this kind of style is very fresh and unique as compare to pure sci-fi. I can say this is all brand new to us artists, and we were very much excited to try this style out. Though we encountered a road block very fast. Initially we were thinking to make it more cohesive as in all 2d handdrawn assets. Halfway in we found out that the results wasn't as satisfying as we cannot convey the surreal feeling of vaporwave with pure 2D assets. Working on a completely new style plus time constraint, we don't really have the luxury to sit there and continue experimenting further with pure 2D, and we were even considering giving up on this whole vaporwave idea. Still, we reaally wanted to see a game working out in this style, and this is the end result!
Once again we thank you very much on playing our game and taking the time to write this review.
Well done. This was a lot of fun with a nice progression and I really liked how the upgrades worked. But why am I a bust??
Isn't it our dream to become a handsome Greek man?
On a serious note, this Greek statue bust is very iconic in this 'vaporwave' style aesthetic, so that's why we came up with the idea of making him the main character. Vaporwave is like a surreal style combining with the dream-like feel. It's like everything doesn't make sense in our dreams xD
Much appreciated for taking your time to try out our game!
Really neat concept! The idea of using the turret against the enemies is super cool, love the theme/style too!
Thank you for trying out our game, and really warms my heart to hear you liked our idea!
Really great game. I love it. Everything felt smooth and fitting. Well polish there.
Thanks for achieving such a high score! Higher than mine D: I am glad you love our game and thanks for commenting!!
A solidly enjoyable game, and a pretty unique take on the theme. I'm especially impressed by the leaderboard!
Thousand thanks for trying out our game! <3 And I agree that the leaderboards implemented by the devs is very cool, my competitive spirit got lit up seeing the leaderboards ahaha
Really great game!
The upgrades make it very interesting, I loved that at the start you choose upgrades that help avid shots and towards the end you need much more firepower :D
I would maybe increase the characters movement speed a bit, at some point it makes the most sense to go in a circle a lot of the time since it's the easiest way to avoid shots.
I love the leaderboard, can I ask how you implemented it? it sounds hard for a two day jam
Overall I had a lot of fun with this game :)
Thanks for playing!
I agree with the issue with running in circles late game. Maybe the gun should overheat once in a while so players can go the other way.
The leaderboard was done with SilentWolf for Godot, the setup for it is pretty quick. I think there's a few alternatives for Unity, but for Godot I can't recommend SilentWolf enough.
fun twist on a genre I enjoy! sadly the leaderboard wouldn't accept input for me to join it but i got 203.
Nooo sorry for that. I think that's a bug that slipped through. My guess is the submit button disables the textbox. 203 is incredible, glad to hear you liked it.
Delightfully A E S T H E T I C shooter. Though I suppose it's less of a "shooter" and more of a "shot at". The combination of investment in damage as well as extra danger is both a fun and challenging one.
Thank you for your feedback on our game!
We noticed that there weren't much games with vaporwave art style in it. Us artists were very excited to challenge ourselves, stepping into this relatively unseen style in games.
Giving perks for turret was awesome idea - it really ties the whole thing together and It gives this interesting difficulty curve where it's simultaneously easier and harder.
this is how I imagine the difficulty curve looks like
Perfectly fits the theme, fun to play and pleasent to look at. What else do you need?
Thanks so much for your lovely comment! I think the game can be even worked on even more, to make it better XD hopefully in the near future if we ever come back to it. Thanks so much for playing and commenting
Super fun and well done, and I like the idea of adding a leader board!
Glad you had fun playing our game! Definitely the leaderboard was a good add-on for the game. Thanks so much for playing and commenting!
Nice style and work well. Good upgrades!

Glad you love the style and the game! thanks for playing our game!
very nicely packaged, cool tradeoff between killing enemies, and increasing difficulty. Great stuff :D
Thanks so much for playing and commenting! We are glad you enjoyed our game :D
Great entry! Somehow adds more chaos to the bullet hell genre. Nice use of the vaporwave aesthetic too!
Thank you for your time on our game!
Vaporwave in itself is also a 'chaotic' art style, it fits perfectly into the late game!
Quite pleasant. Easy to jump in and play a few rounds. Nicely composed, and balanced gameplay.
Thanks for your comment! I am glad you enjoyed our game!
