Delightfully stupid. This could be expanded into a Getting Over It style game. Lots of fun, the physics feel good (though maybe too floaty), art needs work.

Developer

Thanks for playing and the review :)

This game was the most fun for me. I wish it gets expanded into the future.

Notes:

The gravity seems to be close to zero and floating into the air for expanded periods of time does not feel very good.

The objects feel very heavy and they could use a bit more physics put into them. The balls should not feel like they are made out of concrete for example.

I'm happy you liked it and had some fun :)

If we develop a follow up, I will definitely consider your critique, thank you for that!

Thanks for playing! :)

Extremely frustrating but I won after like 8 minutes. Good job!

Developer(+1)

My biggest fear was that people would quit after like 20 seconds. Thanks for playing that long. :)

I love this so much. The controls are a little hard to get used to, but I had a lot of fun playing.

Developer

I'm glad you had some fun. :)

Really liked the contrasting colored art. Also the chill music was kinda nice for the power-wash like gameplay. The controls felt a little difficult to me. But they were responsive to my inputs. Good job!

Developer

Thank you for playing and for the feedback :)

Why can't I mop the ceiling??? BTW how was this the game that came up when the theme was announced lmao

Developer (3 edits)

Thanks for playing :)

You can't mop the ceiling because you could then glitch yourself trough the game and you would not have to MOP THE ESCALATOR!

We came up with it because we interpreted "Roles Reversed" -> "Rolls Reversed" And the escalator "rolles reversed". I know it's a bad joke. -.-

A great solution to add a table of records, but I hate you knowing my craving for records, I specifically avoided Getting Over It, but I got caught in your game, had to play, but the game is good)

Developer(+1)

Thanks for playing!

I never would have thought someone would play it in under a minute. But 36 seconds ... wow

Submitted(+1)

Neat idea. It's like a less frustrating Getting over It (that's a compliment)

Developer(+1)

Thanks for playing it! :)

Finally made it after 5 minutes. Really enjoyable experience. The only things I had a gripe with is the fact that the plushies push you down as much as the fridges, and that while it was interesting that the object variety was seemingly random, it meant you could get a sea of fridges to fall over you. But still, I would play this game outside of a game jam definitely!

Developer

Thanks for playing and for your suggestions :) I'm happy you would play it outside the jam . :)

I really liked this game! I agree with some of the others that it was a bit floaty, and I disliked how much objects pushed you down when they fell on you, but I loved the game as a whole! And that the music and art was made by you is amazing, please give my game a try when you can :)

Developer (1 edit)

Thanks for playing and for your rating :)  I definitely check yours out :)

The art and music were made by my teammate Iunic.

This was fun! I like the seemingly Getting Over It inspired gameplay. It was fun to try to go fast and the leaderboard really incentivizes that. My one issue was that the jump was very floaty and once you got stuck in the air there was no quick way to get back down to the ground again. Good job overall!

Developer

Thanks for playing and the review. :) I'll might give it an update regarding the floatieness after the jam.

lol I had a lot of fun with this, how do you even come up with such ideas???

Developer

Thank for Playing :). I'm glad to hear you had fun!

The idea was created during brainstorming.  Then it was an iterative design process where we tested different movement concepts. At first we had a WASD controlled character but that did not fit our vision for the game.

Wow, cool that you got an actual leaderboard working!
I think the mop physics make it a funny streamer get mad at hard physics type of game which is fine. But the random obstacle spawning make it just a little to cruel for me... I do like the mopping mechanic though. Pretty cool insensitive to stay close to the escalator. Great job :)

Developer

Thanks for appreciating the mechanic :) The "random obstacle spawning" is in fact not that random, objects that get crushed in the bottom of the escalator spawn in their original position so a speed-runner could learn their patterns.

amazing game, just a little janky, but you did only have 48 hours so yea

Developer (1 edit)

Thanks for playing :) My Weekend was full of other things too so I hadn't had too much time working on it but I'm glad you like it anyways.

Submitted(+1)

This was really fun! I was surprised by how much skill there was in piloting the mop around. Great job!

Developer

I'm happy to hear you liked it =)

Hi, thanks for playing it that long! ^^
