This game is truly remarkable! The often surrealist collages on the lightbrownnewspaper create a wonderful visual aesthetic thatgoeshand-in-handwith the spectacular background music. Of course, this game's true strength lies within the near-flawless execution of itsabsolutely bonkerspremise. Seriously, you could not imagine how hard I laughedafterseeing just how absurd these headlines were capable ofbeingwhile still remaining valid. The subheadings are what really do it for me, turning headlines that might otherwise soundforced intofully-realized, gloriously nonsensical situations, makingthis one of the funniestgamesI've ever played in the process. Not every interpretation could be transformed into an actual headline though, forobvious reasons. However, even when the illustrator couldn't reasonably interpret my gibberish titles, seeinghisutter confusion in the form of a ransom note was still very amusing. In short, this game is in a league of itsown, and I have no doubt in my mind that it will be selected as one of the winners for thisgame jam.I genuinely hope to seemore, considering the fact that this game already excelsatso much!10/10LMAO thank you for your praise and also the funny and creative comment hahaha
the best comment <3
Very funny orwellian idea, loved it.
Really like the presentation, scrolling across the newspaper really sells it. I always knew the birds were bad!
Very funny and enjoyoable game with amazing execution! I hope to see more these kind of things during jams. English language literacy is required, so this limits the potential amount of players.
i was immediately immersed in the atmosphere, the itch io page itself adds so much too!
im abit sad that the game didnt recognize some of my funy titles :(
maybe you can use ai? :o
then this game will be so cool, im already imagining a improved version and wanting to play it :D
Perfection!
oh wow this is incredible. the visuals are absolutely stellar... fonts, cutouts, all of that, it's so so good and fitting. really simple gameplay, but the way you managed to create 3 different ways to finish the game with just 4 headlines shows how much you can twist out of this simplicity. the writing is fun and ranges from absurd to concerning. a high quality game in all respects.
my only problem was that at first for some reason i thought i was only allowed to censor two words per headline, which as you can imagine gave me some trouble :P but that's most likely just a me problem
Wonderful game. Really funny and enjoyed the music a lot. Some of the titles gave me hard time :D
Interesting concept! Mouse cursor a bit laggy for me but I was able to go to the end. Music is insane x)
Very noice game
Although a game where you rarely get a different out come than ???? still a really great game!
there should be around 5 outcomes other than ??? for each title, we have included a walkthrough on the itch page description if you wanna get some hints :)
A genius concept well executed! Even a simple mechanic like this leaves much freedom for interpretation, so it's obviously really difficult to account for every solution… the game manages it pretty well though! Well done :).
That was an interesting playthrough, it took me a couple tries to figure out the correct sentences. Hope to see more!
This was super fun! I loved that you got a Papers Please vibe with a completely original concept and gameplay.
what a treat! i got the revolution ending on my own, had to look at the walkthrough for the others. i wish i could have a chance to redo if the illustrator didn't understand my headline--sometimes i accidentally missed one word, or it looked like it made sense to me but the game didn't understand it. maybe you could gray out the "submit" button for all of the headlines until they're acceptable, like with the final one? either way it's a fairly short game so it's not too much of a bother.
the presentation is on point for this game! art style works super well for an unhinged conspiracy paper, and the music fits that vibe as well. i love this take on the theme! great work on this
Really interesting game, and interesting concept as well, and quite appropiate for this day and age. I hate that I didn't manage to understand how unlock the submit button, but what to do, right? lol. I hope you can work on it more, especially to be able to work with even more prompts as reponse. Great work
Glad you enjoyed the game! There's a walkthrough in the itch page description if you're interested!
Wow - such an original interpretation of the theme! The single camera pan was awesome, and it was a lot of fun trying out different word combinations to come up with different headlines! I got stuck on "executed" ending, couldn't figure out the right combination to enable submit
Thanks for trying out the game! There's a walkthrough in the itch page description, if you'd like to see how to get past that ending 👀
Oh cool, I'll check it out!
Very good game, I had fun trying to find out the best way to manipulate the title. It also teaches a nice lesson about clickbaits so good job! Would like to see this into some kind of full release with longer story :)
this got me thinking for a while and I got a lot of ???? I wonder how hard this would be having to fix a full text, very creative idea
Really creative idea and great execution, love this one!
I got stuck with one of the endings because I couldn't find a combination of words to unlock the submit button. Maybe a hint system would help here. Good effort!
Glad you enjoyed it! Good idea, if we expand the game maybe we will implement that. There is also a walkthrough in the description if you want to see how to solve that ending!
