How does your game fit the theme?
(Check out game page if it gives you an error upon opening the game) The narrator of the game is a creator of a game jam, so that's roles reversed, and then we get to play games that were supposedly made with other engines, so that's roles reversed of engines (this is a stretch) and there are two endings, the one where the narrator discovers they *are* the game when they thought they were the one making games so that's like roles reversed between the game and the gamedev and so on and so forth. theres a lot of things in the game you can interpret this way . also the in universe game jam has the same theme of "roles reversed" so that's fun.

The voice acting in this game puts mine to shame, really, this was great! I'm very impressed by the pico 8 part, it really looked as if it was a pico 8 game.
So, now that we're married, I hope that we do get a house and a dog because otherwise we're getting divorced!
P.S. The game where you literally "reversed" "rolls" looked neat!
Wow this is very unique, really funny Game. btw Me and the Narrator were the best gay couple EVER!
Definitely one of the most unique submissions I've played in the jam, the voice acting is great and I love the concept, very ambitious for the 48 hours! The start up screens were great touches, the attention to detail was on point. I did also encounter the performance issues mentioned but it was very brief on my first playthrough so it was just a minor issue. Overall, great work, I enjoyed playing this one a lot!
Honestly, I would have been too intimidated to make an homage to The Stanley Parable. The fact that you managed to recreate that settings + make it funny + have some amazing narration is insane. I applaud you, sir.
P.S. the frame rate is pretty bad though. :)
yeah, noticed the lag issue. It seems like it mainly affects the first time running the game though, and I'm not sure what exactly is causing it. it's my first time making a full game with godot, so next time I'll make sure to not let it happen!
This game is simply another level of meta, in the best meaning possible. Think outside the box -> think outside the game -> think outside of the Game Jam itself! Also implementation and presentation are so good, even flip-bread animation that is supposed to be a joke is extremely satisfying to watch. Great take on this jam!
Cool idea! The Stanley Parable influence is so strong, Voice acting is very good. Game did't run properly on my computer.
Sorry about that, Godot 4.0 has an incomplete support for renderers, but one of the addons I use hasn't been updated for 4.1 so I haven't been able to migrate it in time. thank you anyway!
Pretty nice meta-story, details and references are amazing, also voice acting is high-quality too. Overall great job!
This must have taken a looot of work! Awesome
This is absolutely wonderful! 10/10 IGN
This is a really impressive entry! The voice acting is very well done and the writing was funny and surprising. The PICO-8 game especially was crazily well-done. The Stanley Parable influence is strong, but obviously you know that since you referenced it in-game. One of my favorites I've played this jam---great work on this.
Unironically the best voice acting I've heard in a game jam. By far. Good job!
Unironically my favourite game of the jam, glad you convinced me to try it lol. Needs more dogs and houses and doghouses though so 9/10
thank you! next time I will make sure to have a sufficient supply of dogs and houses and doghouses
Funny take on the theme, I like it! reminds me of Stanley Parable, it'd be nice to see more games like that.
Very nice entry ! Very funny, Stanly Parable meets "there is no game". Bravo voice acting, all in all it put a smile on my face so I give it a proper rating. Well done and thanks for submitting it to the stream on Twitch !
Wow the narrator is amazing and the title too (I can't believe you really chose that like this). I enjoyed the game a lot! Well done.
Beautiful, stunning, i was deeply moved and laughed.
Congratulations for the marriage and i hope they live and prosper well.
Just so you know, i think i clicked 50+ times on the exit door looking for an easter egg and i don't know if there's one or not but maybe it's useful to know how much i persisted. And i loved to flip the bread but i think thats just me.
Best game in the jam. Hands down. Amazing.
thank you! i did want to add something to the exit door but due to time constraints i couldnt
nice interpretation of the theme! Really loved the attention to detail throughout and especially loved the narration. Nice job!
The Narration was pretty funny to listen to - and it shows how much care you put into making the little details in each of the cutscenes. I had a great good few minutes. Thanks for the game!
Great game!
