Cute game! I love the visuals. I'm slaving over a hot furnace just because those dragons are so cute!!

Really cute little game, liked the effects and the gameplay mechanic of scaling. Maybe i wish to see the created scale put in the correct order instead of on top, very good entry!!

This game is so fun to playy !! I Reaally enjoyed it.

Really cute and creative. Quite tricky to judge the scale of the scales but on a sclae of 1 to scale I'd give it a scale.

Really fun and addictive game!

I tried with the help for the scaling but I was way slower with it then when guessing x)

Nice work !

fun unique twist on the theme!

That was quite fun! The gameplay is quick, satisfying, and well-fitted to its arcade format. My only frustration was missing the finish button and resetting the scale on accident.

Some pieces of art and the font are a little janky (not including the intentionally janky dragon scales), but the character design is charming, the sprites are readable, and the general art direction fits well with the primary mechanic; it's easy to judge the scale of objects!

Good work!

Thank you so much! I'm glad you had fun!
And thank you for the in-depth feedback <3

Super cute game I played several times, didn't score more than 270 though, some scales I thought were definitely wonky but they were right and other i thought were close were counted as wonky :_)

the concept of tessellating dragon scales is immensely creative! i'm really glad i played for that reason alone. the game itself is pretty small and simple but that's ok. it's worth it to see dragons smile

the rescaling controls are a little finicky though. i think you're deciding the bottom-right corner of the sprite by clicking, but it wasn't clear at all, and occasionally i miss the confirm button and have to start over

i replayed a few times, eventually realized i could rapidly tap the anvil, and eventually scored i think 670?

Thank you for the feedback! I'm glad you had fun!

The scaling of the scales was something I really wanted to spend more time on, but as this was my first jam I wanted to focus on getting a product out the gate with some juice to it. It's also why I focused on making it a short and quick experience as I didn't want to over scope and leave myself with too much to do at the eleventh hour! Thanks again for playing!

Fun submission! I found myself playing several extra times when I learned how to play and then even more when I saw the high score system.  The score system is a data base with the other players right?  Thanks for letting us play your game!

Hey thanks for playing and I'm glad you enjoyed it! 😁 Scoring was based off a couple of playthroughs which I took the broad average and skimmed a bit off the top cause I knew all the mechanics. I think I made it quite a bit high for the average casual player though 😅😅 out of curiosity what was your highest score? I think I've managed 750 before

It was a fun short game to play... and dragons are so lenient, all my scales were perfect x)

They're just happy someone's out there to help :D

Thanks for playing <3

Fun game - the art was nice and all fitting.

The mechanic of hitting then scaling was very fitting for both the jam theme and your games theme so kudos

Liked that the music added some pressure too

I got lost for a few tries, but really had fun when i started to get the hang of it. The scaling and timing of hammering the scale is innovative <3 Good job! Loved the art style too

Dragon scale is a great take on the idea! Loved this!

Submitted(+1)

Really great theme! While I wish there was a bit more to the gameplay, the art direction was really nice and I found myself replaying multiple times trying to beat my high score. Great work! :)

Developer(+1)

Thank you! I intentionally shot for the experience to be a short and sweet one so I could focus on getting everything I wanted done. This is my first game jam and I was super nervous about getting a finished product out there. Thank you again for playing 💜

Nice game! Simple and fun :) It took me a second to figure out some of the scalings, but I got four perfect ones, and I think I can call myself a master dragon scale scaler now!

Ok shaping the scale with the rolling pin is a genius idea and really fits the theme. Good job! :)
