12 rounds, 2000 pts, 136 tiles. Unsure if that's a good or bad score, but I'm seeing others with higher, so I'm not sure what affects score.
Congrats on finishing your game! Only 10 hours? Good on you, but I'd love to see what you could do with a bit more time :)
I really liked the puzzle aspects of this game. Trying to optimize the network and reuse roads was really satisfying. It would be neat to see how long I could go, or flesh out this system with traffic signals, different types of vehicles, trains... so much you could do if you wanted to.
I think most of the feedback you'll get just comes from not having more time to spend on it. I spent quite a bit of time at the start of round 4 not realizing there was a car and goal spawned outside the view of my camera. Either starting fully zoomed or just making the total gamespace smaller would have been a better solution, maybe. And maybe a speed toggle so I could watch a level play out a little more quickly.
A solid little entry that I thoroughly enjoyed. Keep making games!
Thanks for the feedback! I'd say it's a good score. It depends somewhat on lucky car and flag placements as well. I've come up with some cheesy strategies and managed 12.5k points. If I'd flesh this out into a proper game I'd balance things a little differently and make the scoring system more obvious.
Neat short game. It reminds me a bit of "Gridroad". I enjoyed your game quite a bit, good job! :)
Got 2400points as a final score. Not sure if that's good or bad
Had to look up Gridroad. My main inspiration was Mini Metro. But it looks like Gridroad might be closer :)
cool puzzle game. managed to get 1830 scores.
Is car placement random or hardcoded?
Both cars and flags are random. They'll never be placed next to a road and the potential area size increases gradually.
What a cool puzzle game. Enjoyable to play, especially with how it generates the start and end points so it is replayable.
I've ended up returning to it quite a bit myself. As you say the randomness makes it replayable
This was awesome and really unique idea, loved the symphony of bloops when the round would start and the cars would makes their turns
I wish I had made the pitch of the sounds deterministic, maybe based on grid position and car colour, rather than random. That way you'd expand on the same symphony little by little. But oh well, I'm glad you liked it!
Really cool! Super satisfying when the cars gets this close || to crashing. Also pressing start when the last level finishes makes them all crash in the center ahahah
I really enjoyed playing this, especially because there was no resource limit, which made it feel like a cozy and satisfying builder rather than a stressful resource management puzzle.
Glad you liked it! I toyed with having a tile limit. But then I thought I'd rather subtly reward players for using fewer tiles with a higher score, than punish players by adding a limit. I found that it also opens up for strategies where you build longer roads early on and open up for massive scores in the later rounds.
This is a rwally good little puzzle game well done. It feels good to play tthe sounds and feedback is nice. This is definitely the sort of game that I could sit and play for a long time.
Glad you enjoyed it!
if this game was made in 10 hrrs this is TRULY impressive i didnt seem to face any bugs but it got really messy when alot of cars got involved XD
Thank you! And yeah things can get messy.. 😅
I would want to play this game on mobile just creating a city and scaling up and building on it. it's simple satisfying and nice take on the theme. Amazing for a 10 hour work! Keep it up! ^^
I haven't really developed any games that allow for user creation. Definitely something I want to explore more.
Honestly for 10h this is stellar. For two days too. Simple concept, excellent execution. Won't bother you with all the stuff you already know. Elegant puzzle game, loved it!
Thank you very much!
Cool game, very satisfying when you re-use old road
95 tiles, 4450 score
Thanks for playing! Good score 👌
Simple but satisfying to watch cars driving along your growing road network. I was reminded of Mini Metro!
Definitely an inspiration. Thanks for playing!
I loved everything about this game, it was so satisfying to watch my cars just barely miss each other! Good sounds good visuals, and super impressive how fast you made this! One follow up you could do though is make it so the player can remove tiles they misplaced so that i dont have to restart drawing my whole path if i miss up and click a wrong tile. Also the path system and intersections were amazing, well done!
136 tiles 2290 score
Thank you for the feedback! Completely agree. Had I had a little more time to spend I would definitely have made it possible to remove single tiles.
Neat idea, well implemented! Certainly room for polish, but very impressive for such a short time. Wasn't expecting intersections to work and was very happy when they did :D
Glad you liked it!
This is great! Especially impressive since you made it in 10 hours!
Thank you!
Very cute and super impressive that you did this in 10 hours! I found it enjoyable and satisfying to create the roads and see the cars get to their goals:) Nice submission!
Thank you! Glad you liked it.
