I really felt the arcade vibe and sounds are amazing. Congrats for the game
Thank you!
Glad you appreciated the experience! :)
Love the arcade feel and how polished everything is! I think the concept is really cool and love all the different modes you added like the drunkenness, zoom, etc...
I did take a me sec to figure out the controls and what was going on though. I also felt like the 10 balls on the screen rule was kind of a weird way to end the game. Maybe you have a health bar instead? And every time a ball touches the edge of the screen you take damage?
Overall really enjoyed it! Nice entry! and thanks for reviewing Cell Life :)
Thank you for your feedback!
Solid game overall. I love the simple and minimalist aesthetic of the game and the animations, which create a really satisfying gameplay experience.
Thank you!
Glad you liked it! :)
Good game, good polish :D
Maybe improve the beginning, the tutorial, I was a little lost. But once the concept, the game is understood, it's really cool ! Well done :D
Thank you for the feedback!
We tried to have a non-verbal tutorial where the real game starts only once you defeated the two different enemies. :)
Very Arcade feel, I like it, Was a bit confused at first but then I got the hang of it! And its very satisfying when you chain the circles!
Thank you! We tried to go for a non verbal tutorial where the true game starts only after you destroy the 2 types of enemy so you can get the hang of it. ;)
Very interesting concept, I really enjoyed the color palette and overall design. Great work.
Thanks! Art was made by our amazing @XDinky!
This game feels like an arcade there you need to drop tokens to continue. It is nostalgic.
Loved the overall design.
Thank you! We really tried to convey the arcade vibes! :)
What a great aesthetic and take on the theme, loved it! (Drunken haze is a nightmare though :D )
Thank you!
Drunken Haze is a killer! ;)
Love this arcade-esque game! It's addicting and the sound feedback of popping the balls is incredibly satisfying. The events were unexpected but added freshness to the game that I enjoyed. I do agree about the other commenter's suggestion on scroll sensitivity though as my mouse is terrible for fast-paced scrolling lmao.
Thank you for your feedback!
Cool idea and very well polished! It's pretty difficult to scroll so quickly, I would like if there was a sensitivity option for different mice. I liked all the different modifiers, made the game much more funny and hectic. Overall, very cool entry :)
Really good feedback! We didn't thought of a sensitive slider for the mousewheel! Thank you!
Size Strike is a super polished and fun arcade game that offers a unique and addictive experience. The core mechanic of scaling up and down to crush or burst balls is well-executed and keeps the classic arcade control scheme fresh. The modifiers force you to adapt quickly, adding another layer of challenge.
The game's strong visual style, soundtrack, and voiceover with a heavy Italian accent make it another standout game jam entry for me. It's also well-polished, from the game menu to the helpful player tutorial that explains everything you need to know. Adding global leaderboards would make the game even more competitive and encourage players to try for higher scores. It might also make me feel a bit embarrassed about my own top score!
Thank you for your feedback!
The Italian accent is mine, but it was late in the jam and we were all tired, so I wasn't able to hide it, ahahah! :)
We really wanted to add some form of leaderboard, but as you can imagine, the jam deadline came before we were able to do so!
It would be such a shame to hide it. Haha!
Visual and sound are great gameplay is is very good and creative ! Very good concept love it !
Thank you!
The visual effect is really great. Love the zoom mechanic as the scaling theme and ways to interact with enemies. Stylish and juicy all around. The events added so much depth to a game submitted to such a short jam. Well done with this one! :)
Thank you a lot!
It was the first jam we did together, but we had some truly amazing people in the team! :)
Art is really great
Audio is great
Concept is nice, but really well executed
I feel like the mouse wheel might be a bit too variable depending on the mouse used
Thank you a lot for the feedback!
Music is amazing! The retro style is super cool and very catchy. Great job!
Thank you! :)
Fun arcade-style game, many random events to add variety.
This game is extremely polished, especially for a jam submission! Although my first instinct was to move the circle with the mouse, I quickly got used to the keyboard. The different modifiers prevent the game from ever getting boring and repetitive, and even though sometimes I found it hard to position myself exactly right to pop a circle (maybe a higher tolerance would be more rewarding for the player) I still had lots of fun. Well done team!
Thank you! :)
Wow, it's so cool and stylish, with amazing audio too! My best time is 82. I think the controls is a bit difficult, maybe it will be easier if can move the cursor with mouse, and mouse click to scale up or down.
Thank you!
Current record we know of is 139 seconds. ;)
Nice game
Thank you!
very very cool audio and visual !! The events make it less repetitive, it's perfect with the curernt mechanics, it was cool to play !
Thank you!
