I see Chihuahua, I like. Love little dipper and the mechanics. Especially the "rhythm" mechanic of up- and downsizing. Good job!

Awesome game! Really simple and intiuive mechanics that fit the theme well. Great job all round!

I am 99% sure you found that skeleton no touchy mechanic by accident and decided to roll with it: that's gangster

Developer(+1)

Sometimes the best mechanics are the ones you didn't make ;3

Da boss fight wuz ruff, but I barked my way thru! Dis game gets da biggest waggin' tail eva from me! Now, if ya’ll excuse me, I gotta go chase da monsters again! WOOF!

I love the artstyle, everything looks very clean and bugfree too! Dipper is super cute and a very lovable hero, I'd love to see more. I had a lot of fun with this one!

Very cool game, I really like the puzzles and had fun playing it

This is a brilliant platformer with black and white colour, sometimes such art style appeal the eyes so much.

Developer

Hehe. Thanks, though it's not a platformer. It's a grid puzzler.

Fantastic work! I love the dungeon crawler/puzzle combo! And the visuals just tied the whole thing together.

Developer

Awe thanks

Great game, good mechanics, clean graphics, nice music - really like the concept you're going for here! I would have preferred the ability to have a one step undo as it makes some of the levels annoying to deal with, but I understand that time constraints of the jam made that impossible ^^

Incredible use of the scaling mechanic packed into a puzzle, the art style is stellar,  the game is fun, I rate this game at a level higher than the peaks of  Little Dipper's large size.

The level design is some of the best i've seen  in a game jam! They felt very thought out and planned but kept it engaging and fun. Visuals were clear and there was enough game juice thrown in to help with the overall package. One of my favourites :)

What a great puzzle level design. The color palette is very minimalist yet the design is nice to look at. Very love the experience I had with this! I have a small brain--blessed that the guided mechanic is very easy and gratifying to follow. Great entry to the jam!

That's a nice puzzle game !

Is the movement just stopping sometimes, or am i missing something?

Developer

I've noticed a very occasional glitch where the movement freezes up. If you get completely stuck Press R. I've only had it happen once.

Otherwise, enemies move only when you move.

Okay, I am genuinely impressed. I didn't expect this game to be so tightly designed, damn.

Let me list a couple of awesome things it does, it teaches the player the mechanics well, it recontextualizes puzzle elements based on the current situation, and it even does the first obvious solution wrong + the aha moment. That sync level with the skeletons was pure genius.

I honestly have no idea how you managed to pull this off in such a short amount of time. The only criticism I have to say is how the level should maybe restart automatically once you die, or at least prompt you to do so, or tell the player directly about restarting the level.

This must be one of the most clever games I have ever tried in a game jam, incredible work.

Developer

I'm genuinely touched! That's such a sweet thing to say.

The skeleton sync mechanic was almost dropped as playtesters found it confusing/frustrating. The original version had a few more tricky skeletons thrown in there. I however, thought Rattle Battle was a good idea. It's caught so many people, and they've gotten stuck, but the game here is teaching you how to ring around the rosey big slimes.

Hearing someone praise Rattle Battle feels great.

So many little details hidden inside! Especially this little puppy paw design of the cursor.. The old-school arcade vibe you’ve created is fascinating!

Loved the graphical style of this game! The particles that would fly out whenever something died was strangely satisfying to me, I think because it defies the pixel style of the rest of the game and that gives it some extra emphasis. Overall a solid game!

At first I was annoyed about the movement, but then when it clicked that it was like a turn based puzzle movement system, I LOCKED IN! All I have to say is:
