Really cool idea! i had some issues with clipping through the floor from time to time, but overall i'm a really big fan of the house building and scaling myself down!

This game has a creepy atmosphere and I am down for it!! However, I did clip through the floor a couple times... Thankfully you had parameters set  to teleport you back!! It was a cool game PERIOD!!

Streamed today!!

I had no issue with the WebGL! The atmosphere was quite immersive with a potent mystery to the whole thing. I thought the house building mechanic was quite original, but I wish there was maybe one or two puzzles that required me to change the way I arranged the house overall.

I planned a few puzzles that emphasized room arrangements but I had to cut scope due to time constraints. It's definitely something  I want to explore in the future.

That's good to hear. I'd be interested in a post jam update.

Great game! Had the same problem as some other folks with the web version not working properly, but the windows build worked fine! Fun concept and fantastic atmosphere, 5/5 for style.

Great experience! The web version is kinda hard to use, but the Windows version works fine and was fun to play. I will say that the puzzles were maybe a little easy, but that's definitely better than making the puzzles too hard or unintuitive. It would also be nice to have some way to select and move multiple rooms at once (a problem I forgot to solve in my game),  cuz it can make shifting the structures over to make room for more rooms a bit tedious. Overall very good!

Nice concept, kinda reminds me of Carto but with a more horror atmosphere! Good puzzle game, I would recommend not binding the "go back" button in the web version to escape, as that's also the key that has itch release your mouse and/or leave fullscreen so that usually takes priority and you end up being softlocked.

The ambient noise was also very loud and I had to turn down my PC volume to like 25% for it to be tolerable.

Aside from that I had fun with it!

Wow, good puzzle game with an amazing idea! I made it to the end though it was a bit hard because text did not render properly for me in Chrome. But still had an amazing experience, good job!

Developer (1 edit) (+1)

Wow! You are a champ for soldiering on with the broken text. I got the issue when I made the webGL build only a few hrs before the jam ended. I couldn't fix it in time. After the jam I'll certainly post a web ver without the text issue.

I took a look at screenshot and learned I can press TAB to go inside the house I am building, after that I would say it was a very good puzzle design that guided me through the game.

Developer(+1)

Yeah there's no way to know how to exit the house without text sadly. I somehow missed  adding it to the page's controls section. Thanks for pointing it out.

Amazing escape room puzzle with a great ending. The way you need to put the rooms in the correct order to enter the rooms and solve the puzzle is very intriguing. Want to play more of this. Well done!

Really cool concept. Offers some interesting brain-bending bits, and invokes (as has been said) Inkscryption and that one end-game temple in LoZ: Skyward Sword. Finicky, obtuse, and jank in places? Yes, but this is a solid foundation for a short, but clever and more polished experience!

Great game, music and sound effects are on point, very interesting puzzle mechanic. Nice throwback to the good, old horror games.

Very stylish game with a great ambience! Were you inspired by Inscryption by any chance? As I am pretty bad at escape rooms, I got stuck here and am completely unsure what to do, I’ve tried like everything (even glitched through the floor once, didn’t help)…

Super impressive entry for a game jam!

Developer (1 edit)

Yeah inscryption was a pretty huge inspiration for the game. This is my first time making an escape room type game so I apologize for any unintuitiveness. We didn't have enough time to properly playtest.

For the part you're stuck on, a hint: try right clicking stuff.

super nice ambience, great design!

Super cool idea, I love it! Escape rooms are always a blast and this one was no different. I did find some of the controls a bit finnicky, like placing/moving the little rooms around could be a bit more fluent or inspecting them. But that's to be expected from a jam game. That's really the only feedback I could give, the rest is just great! I'd love to see you put more time into it and develop it further.

I found it really intuitive and a blast to play - I really hope you continue to develop it after the jam review period is over!

Nice puzzler

Lots of interesting ideas here. Not the most intuitive without tips, though.

An excellent entry with super creative puzzle concept! The atmosphere reminded me of Inscryption for some reason

Developer

Yes! Inscryption was definitely a huge inspiration for this(esp. the escape room parts).

Excellent concept with good ideas on it! I played the web version and there were a couple of tiny issues:
-Escape to exit for a mouse playing game (as well as tab, but less prominently) doesn't feel good.
-Sometimes exiting the house would place me outside of the real house.
-Some weird tool tips like "unlock door" would appear from the main house when looking to the chest (not even in "construction" mode).
-The final room key to open a door felt a bit anticlimatic, but the ending itself its pretty good, a shame it isn't really executed.
-There is a second of non accepting input in the code between pressing numbers which feels sluggish.
This are just tiny comments I'm sure you might be aware, a part of that I had a lot of fun, really. Excellent vibe, nice puzzles and ended wanting more! Congratulations!

Developer

Thanks a lot for playing!

Yeah a lot of people have brought up the esc issue. I'm going to rebind it if I make a post jam version.

The bit about the tooltips is bug. Thanks for finding it.

I agree that the final puzzle is anti-climactic. I wanted to do more stuff with the keys  but had to cut scope. I think there is a lot of room to explore in the mechanic and I hope to expand upon it in the future,

Yeah going to remove the keypad delay.

This is my first time making a point and click and type game so I was worried it'd  be unintuitive . It's great to see that that you had fun.

Submitted(+1)

Really interesting idea! I was a bit stuck at first, because I played web version and there's a few problems with it:
- Tips not showing
- Having to press Esc is annoying
But when I played the windows version, I really enjoyed it, and I'd like to play some more!
For anyone playing - just play windows version.

Developer

Yeah sadly I couldn't figure out the reason for the borked text in webGL near the end of the jam. It worked on some machines but not on others. I ended up leaving it in.

Submitted(+1)

Great atmosphere and really cool ideas! I did struggle until I figured out I was supposed to be seeing text and played the desktop version lol. After that it was pretty intuitive and I definitely would love to play more!
