Simple, but with enough mechanics to make it fun and interesting the whole way through. The only thing is that some of the assets don't mesh super well with each other, but it's not THAT big a deal. Good game all around!

No idea how you managed to pull this off in Scratch, but that's insanely impressive. Great job!

WOW, that was great! I loved how open-ended the levels feel, like you could use a different solution every time. My one and only suggestion is to limit the camera scrolling at the level edges to keep more of the play area in view. All-around excellent!

Pretty good game! The SFX and the music are well chosen for the frantic, fast-paced combat, and the art does a pretty good job as well. I think the lack of choice in the gameplay is my biggest criticism. Being able to, say, choose between different troops, change their formation, upgrade them, and even manually attack with them would've added some much-needed depth to the game. As-is, though, I still had a good time destroying the monsters and protecting the king, so good job!

I like the aesthetic you're going for, and the gameplay was honestly pretty smooth! I think the game is, however, severely lacking in polish as far as things like inconsistent pixel size and some weird interactions(specifically the spike hitboxes). All in all, a fun game that just needs a little more time in the oven.

I got to 211! This has potential to be a really great rhythm game, but that lack of sound and music is really hurting the game. Very well done, especially for 48 hours!

Really like the visual style of the game! I do think that it's kind of annoying to push the garbage into the ladle, and maybe adding a way to skip the cutscene would be nice? Other than that, extremely enjoyable and very funny! (btw im from the discord)

Wow! Thanks for playing! Fun fact: all the music was actually Kevin Macleod stuff lol. I think Level 3 was harder than I intended it to be because you need to get the placement of the onbeats AND the offbeats correct.

Fun concept, and the first 2 levels were fun, but like everyone else said, that difficulty spike is crazy. Would've loved to see the rest of the game, but I legit tried for half an hour and I can't beat level 3.

This game is really cool, but lots of people have already talked about the gameplay and the math stuff. I want to touch on the sound design. It's insanely good. The lack of music, the strange sounds that play when things happen, the small differences between sounds, they all come together to make the game feel... ethereal, almost. Great job!

Thanks for playing! Yeah, I kinda dropped the ball on the music. I wanted to do it all custom to fit with the gameplay, but I ran out of time so I slapped some stock music in and called it a day.

Like the idea, but the janky card controls and lack of feedback on incorrect solutions(a problem i also faced in my game) are holding it back from its full potential, I think.

Very fun puzzle platforming mechanics! I liked most of the levels, the robot is cute, and pretty much every aspect of the game is well done. However, I feel like some aspects could have been expanded on more while others could have been left out and I wouldn't miss them. Controlling 2 robots was fun and interesting, and I would've loved to see more of that than the pick-a-path level. Also, teleporting and the switch blocks can be kind of janky. All of that aside, this is great concept and great execution.

One of the most polished games art-wise I've seen so far! All of the art is done very well. I think maybe the mechanics need a bit more depth, and there needs to be something interesting here to set it apart from other games in the city builder genre. All in all, cute and cozy, if not a bit generic.

Love the idea, love the art and music, the gameplay is where it falls a bit flat. The biggest(and really only) problems are that sometimes I have no idea how far away the cursor is, and trying to change height is really annoying. I would probably suggest using Space and Shift to ascend and descend and using a raycast from the crosshair to the nearest surface for placing blocks. A few simple fixes would take this from a pretty albeit somewhat frustrating game to a really fun experience!

Also, in case you were wondering, your solution is only making a sound every four counts. Level 2 asks you to make a sound every two. Again, hard to tell the difference if you're not familiar with music, which is something for me to think about for the future.

Fun little endless survivor game. I think it would be cool if all of the upgrades could be upgraded more times or even times as you want instead of just build, but everything you DID have time to add seems incredibly well polished. Nice work!

The art in this game is absolutely amazing. The hand-drawn, almost heiroglyph-esque aesthetic, the animations, and the sound all contribute to a very good-looking and sounding game. I think the scales mechanic is also very well thought out, and all the items have good uses. This is a very, very good combat system, and I think you could build this up into an amazing RPG if you wanted to.

Great experience! The web version is kinda hard to use, but the Windows version works fine and was fun to play. I will say that the puzzles were maybe a little easy, but that's definitely better than making the puzzles too hard or unintuitive. It would also be nice to have some way to select and move multiple rooms at once (a problem I forgot to solve in my game),  cuz it can make shifting the structures over to make room for more rooms a bit tedious. Overall very good!

Yeah, I agree that communication with the player is not one of the game's strengths, and the building mechanics are very, very barebones as-is, which are both things I would've improved if I had more time and will improve on if/when I update the game. I struggled to figure out a way to make the game approachable for people who have no idea how music works, but still challenging for experienced composers and musicians, which led to some people finding the game impossible and some people finding it becoming stale, which could probably honestly just be fixed by some kind of optional tutorial. Thanks for the feedback!

Thanks for the feedback! I knew there would be some problems with moving your machine, but I ended up running out of time for QOL features :P. My time allocation was pretty bad cuz this is my first jam, but I'll definitely add those things in an update!

Quite a nice little puzzle game. I'm sure you already know about the lack of polish, but given that this is for a jam, it's really good!

Good atmosphere, but definitely lacking polish as you said. With some refining, this has the potential to be amazing.

Very cool! The gameplay is chaotic and fun, and the theming is really interesting. I do think that once you start getting a lot of things on the scales, it becomes pretty simple to keep 'em balanced, so maybe upping the pace of the scarabs doing things as the game progresses would be a good idea.

Really great and well-polished concept. I like the art style and the music a lot, and the switching is quite fun. I just think there should be hotkeys or something to make switching connections on the fly easier.

This game is great, no question. Gonna be honest, though, I don't really think it's on theme? Even with [redacted spoilers], I'm not really feeling the "scale" or the "built". Besides that, an insanely good thing to make in just 96 hours!

Loved this game. The controls are super fun, the vibes are immaculate, and the procedurally generating level is awesome. One of my favorites for sure!

Simple yet addicting gameplay, but the scaling definitely does make it a little hard on the eyes. With a little more polish and communication with the player, this concept has some serious potential.

I like playing as a silly little ant. He's just so small and goofy. I love him. The core gameplay loop is extremely solid, and the art is charming and quite well done. My only gripe with the game is that it can be kinda inconsistent exactly where the foot drops in relation to the warning, which makes dodging feel kinda inconsistent. Even though I don't normally enjoy slippery controls, they pair very nicely with the dash's ability to let you turn around at a moment's notice. Solid work!

I can see why you ran out of time, because your main mechanics and your graphics are SO polished! I can't imagine how much time that must have taken. It's a shame that you didn't have enough time to refine the movement and make more levels, because I had fun with what there was here.

Strangely one of the only city builders I've seen so far, and as far as those go, this is a pretty good one. The art and music are extremely polished, and all the mechanics work extremely well. My one complaint would be that the difficulty is maybe a little overtuned, but honestly, it's hard to get the balance right in only four days when playtesting is basically nonexistent. This game is insanely well done for only 96 hours of work!

Probably one of the best overall games I've played so far. Great theming, great art, and great music. The max size death sound legitimately jumpscared me the first time I heard it lol. The most unique and fun take on the literal "scaling" interpretation I've seen so far.

Really, really love the creativity and everything about how the game looks and sounds, but I find that it's really, really finnicky to try and defeat the enemies. You have to be RIGHT on top of them to defeat them, which is hard to line up with WASD, and I don't have a compatible controller. Make the hitbox for defeating enemies bigger, and this is easily a Top 10 of the jam. (or maybe I just have a skill issue idk)

Really fun and enjoyable arcade-style gameplay with a really fun theme. The level is well-designed and very fun to run through. My only complaint is that the sound design, particularly the lack of music and the whirring of the helicopter, make the game feel... liminal, almost? I don't think that was the intention, so maybe some background music would be good. All around an excellent experience!

I'm a musician who is friends with a lot of musicians, so I kinda forgot that most people are normal and don't know music as well lol. Could definitely use a better feedback loop between player and level so they know what they're doing wrong. Thanks for the feedback!

A silly little game full of silly little guys. Really impressive how polished and fun it is. My only minor complaint is that sometimes you can place building where they probably shouldn't be able to be placed(clipping inside of other buildings).
