How does your game fit the theme?
I interpreted the "Scale" part of the theme as musical scales, and then extrapolated that idea to building musical rhythms as that was more interesting to build puzzles with. Your factory also scales up as the levels progress. As for the "Built" part, well, you build a factory. Pretty simple.

Love the concept ! It's a bit hard to grasp at first, especially if the first beats not doing anything
Very nice, very creative puzzle game, love music and rhythm based challenges and this has that in spades. Unfortunately it seemed to lag every time I pressed the play button, which threw off the rhythm and made it kinda hard to tell what I was doing wrong (might be an issue with fullscreening, not sure). Didn't really run into issues besides that though, definitely a fun and polished experience!
It takes a little while to figure out things at the start, but once you get a hang of it, it becomes really enjoyable. Though one issue I noticed is that sometimes you can’t place things on certain tiles. Having a visualization of what gets played on which beat would help to more easily compare to the goal beat.
Love the concept and the execution. It feels sooo good to play. Since I’ve already let you know my thoughts, I won’t repeat them here again. The game just lacks a bit of polish but other than that, excellent job!
Very interesting - definitely an interesting concept. I don't really see how this fits the "scale" part of the theme, but on its own, this was really fun to play. It kinda reminds me of Baba Is You, blended with programming, which is a very intriguing combination! Good job! 💖
Cool game ! Took some time to understand everything but it's really nice once u do ! Keep up the good work !
Really fun! the art mmusic and sfx do get together really well! enjoyed playing this game :)
wow! I really liked it, and I loved the art, the music and the SFX. Its kind of confusing and a little bit hard to understand, but its really cool once you understand it. its a really nice way of implementing the theme. Nice job!
Cool and groovy music!! I like it alot!!
Featured on today's stream!!
Wow! Thanks for playing! Fun fact: all the music was actually Kevin Macleod stuff lol. I think Level 3 was harder than I intended it to be because you need to get the placement of the onbeats AND the offbeats correct.
Great factorio like game. Only suggestion I'd have is that maybe the in game music could be replaced by just playing the desired beat over and over, so that I could get the feel for it? But I love the visualization of the beat in the pause menu, really helped out!
Thanks for playing! Yeah, I kinda dropped the ball on the music. I wanted to do it all custom to fit with the gameplay, but I ran out of time so I slapped some stock music in and called it a day.
Very interesting concept!
I found the levels a bit too hard when I try to grasp the rhythm listening the sample, but a bit too easy looking at the visual goal lol.
Overall I liked the game idea and the implementation is neat!
This is a super cool idea, I'm very bad at keeping beat and music in general so I had some difficulties with this one just because of my own shortcomings but it seems like a really cool idea and I had fun with it until I got ultimately stumped. I did really like the indicator in the pause menu showing the beat pattern and I think that should be incorporate into the normal view somehow. And it would be nice to have some indicator showing what my beat looks like in correlation with what the beat is supposed to look like. All in all great work!
Interesting idea. Now first thing that wasn't obvious/bugged me was how the item selection buttons REALLY seem to blend into the world, and at first I was trying to understand why they did nothing.
Second issue, is you can place things, when clicking on tool buttons and play button. Also when I pick a splitter, I can only place one, after which the selection seems to reset, which is annoying.
Lastly, but not least, I got stuck on level 2. I think I built what the game wants, but it just doesn't want to accept it. I think you really need is some kind of visual verification screen like there is in many Zachtronics games.
Yeah, I agree that communication with the player is not one of the game's strengths, and the building mechanics are very, very barebones as-is, which are both things I would've improved if I had more time and will improve on if/when I update the game. I struggled to figure out a way to make the game approachable for people who have no idea how music works, but still challenging for experienced composers and musicians, which led to some people finding the game impossible and some people finding it becoming stale, which could probably honestly just be fixed by some kind of optional tutorial. Thanks for the feedback!
Also, in case you were wondering, your solution is only making a sound every four counts. Level 2 asks you to make a sound every two. Again, hard to tell the difference if you're not familiar with music, which is something for me to think about for the future.
The Factorio nerd in me adores this game. I think this is a super amazing concept for a game with so many options to expand the mechanics. The current build is fun, but feels repetitive after the first 4/5 levels. I think part of that is that the current placing controls feel a bit tedious with flip settings not saving between placed objects resulting in me having to flip a corner piece, then grab and flip another. With a few fixes though, and some new instruments sprinkled in. I could see this being a really awesome game, especially once you get up to basically recreating an orchestra.
I like the concept. Reminds me of factorio, which is one of my favorite games. The puzzles at first made me think in a hard and enjoyable way. However after the 4 level, i figured out how the game works and the rest of the levels felt a bit like a chore. It's not that interesting to wonder how exactly do I need to delay the instruments to achieve desired result. With some more features, this could turn into a good addition to the factorio like genre. Good luck!
Very cool game, with a distinctive art style, funky rhythms and a pretty unique gameplay loop. Definitely gives some factorio vibes. Even though I’m a musician, I found it pretty hard to control this game, as you easily run out of space and need to readjust everything manually - a copy / paste function would go a long way, as well as being able to speed up or slow down an existing piece by clicking on it (disclaimer: I only played until level 3 because each level took me ages)
Loved it - one of the best games in the jam for me so far!
Thanks for the feedback! I knew there would be some problems with moving your machine, but I ended up running out of time for QOL features :P. My time allocation was pretty bad cuz this is my first jam, but I'll definitely add those things in an update!
Love the concept it's a quick 5/5 from me
Really cool twist on the factory building genre! As someone who loves Factorio and the like, I'm always happy to see conveyor belts in any game ;). Great job!!
Great game. I'm really bad at this, but solving first few levels was a lot of fun.
5/5 on this one! Seriously good work with this one! As a sound guy it was fun to figure these out!
