How does your game fit the theme?
The player can shrink to enter mini levels inside the main level. So the player have to shrink / grow through the levels to complete the game.

Yay I did it! Really good presentation and use of theme! I was a little confused as where to resize to enter the smaller areas till I realized stuff like the spikes were not hazards, but areas I could shrink down to. Otherwise, I eventually figured it out and had a great time!
I definitely agree with what some other people said about making it identifiable where you can zoom in to change which level, but I love the riding of the smaller creatures in the forest to get to new places!
Very cute and fun! I love the idea of getting through smaller levels in order to get through the grander bigger level. The only real issue I had was that sometimes it was difficult to figure out what I could interact with, or which smaller sections worked. I spent the first 5 minutes trying to jump on the beetle/skull(?) but was clipping through it so figured it was there for something else until I read some more comments and figured it out. I think putting some light highlights on a lot of the objects that you interact with would really help to convey what to do a little better without handholding the player too much. Regardless, good job!
I really appreciated the animations of switching between "big world" and "small world". Zooming out when the skull fly flies you around is great because you can see where your small guy is in the context of the rest of the world. Also knowing what places were the "small world" were quite intuitive and I appreciate using the same sprite in each level. I found this to be very cute and enjoyable but there was an issue that I could walk in the sky sometimes? Overall great job!
Hi, thanks for the feedback! Yeah... I'm aware of that bug. I also encountered it a few times during development, but I had no idea why it happened and I had no time to fix it :(
well styled game! the camera transition + fading background while shrinking was a nice touch and i liked that you could leave the tiny areas by exiting left or right and still be tiny in the larger level! great game!
Interesting game. Unfortunately the game was not fun for me. Firstly, why use W for jump? Space would be much more preferable.
Second, overall it's really hard to understand what the game wants from me. For example, I found this guy who (I think) wants apples. However I have no idea where I could find them. I searched everywhere and just got tired.
Hi, thanks for the feedback! The W key is used for jump because it is usually a standard in 2D platformer games (usually W or Arrow Up key). Ideally the best solution is to allow the player to bind their preferred keys, but due to time restrictions this was discarded. Some players may prefer the W key, others the Arrow Up key, and others the Space bar.
The apple can be found in a different sublevel in the same level. At the bottom of the game page there's a "I don't know how to continue past X level!" section that explains what you have to do to continue, there's also screenshots highlighting the sublevels.
I thoroughly enjoyed my time with this game, it took me a little bit to figure out, but it felt like part of the adventure, once i figured out what you were trying to communicate, it was a joy to get through.
I loved the mechanics, it was very interesting! At first I was a bit confused, but after some trying I got it. Great game!
really clean visuals, nice art style! i love to see a game with music and sound effects!
Really lovely visuals, sound effects! I also enjoyed the cute characters and the narrative, and the little critters helping out. :] As others have said, it would've been great to have an indicator for the different sub levels, they kind of merge into the background.
Really cute game, although I didn't quite get that you had to shrink down at specific places at first. Luckily the comments held the answers ;). Maybe another color to highlight those areas would be nice. Once I figured it out it was a lot of fun though. Really enjoyed the various interactions!
Really like this idea of shrink down to solve puzzles you can't master when big. The graphics are really nice and the soundscape too. Would have loved to have a couple more elements, and maybe some puzzles were you reallty need to switch from big to small to sovle them, but overall very solid entry.
The dialog at the end was exquisite.
Thank you for the feedback! Initially, I planned to allow the player to switch between big, normal, and small sizes, but that would have required creating three different versions of each level. Due to time constraints, I had to reduce a lot of content.
cool game I enjoyed playing it!GG!
I think it took a bit to figure out what the background elements which you could shrink into were but this was a cute little game with a cute little story. Love the puzzles but I do wonder how much more you could squeeze out of it if it was much longer than it was. I think the only real gripe I had with what was actually on offer though was the fact that the little flies were was too slow, especially since they're in shrunken form so you're just waiting for the fly to get to its location without much to do. Otherwise this is a super cute, short game that I enjoyed my time with a lot.
Thank you for the feedback! I wanted the player to be able to switch between big, normal, and small sizes. Maybe even grow as big as a giant or shrink to a microscopic size. However, each size required creating different versions of each level with unique assets, and I had to cut a lot of content due to time limit.
Really cool concept and take on the theme, the transitions were smooth and very intuitive. Only complaint is I found it difficult to progress until I realised that the branches were actually platforms, they were kinda hard to tell apart. Cute fun game!
Great work. The transition between the mini and regular levels is really slick. I can see this concept being fleshed out more.
Glad for these two!
I loved the art for this game! gives me fez vibes.
I love the implementation of the theme, very cool. The way the camera zooms in and out to the playable areas is super nifty. I will say that I got stuck for the first couple minutes figuring out how to progress past the second screen; then realizing the little trees were the 'worlds' you enter. If it was in your interest, this is an interesting idea to build off into a larger project. Well done.
Thank you for the feedback! I tried my best to make the gameplay intuitive without explicitly telling the player. My friends helped me identify that issue, and I had some ideas to address it, but I didn't have enough time to work on it.
