Damn dude, hell yeah! This is not only a fantastic and unique idea but the excecution with the graphics and audio design is also amazing and it just works so well! The touch of the notes playing when you jump on the platforms is an amazing piece of design to intertwine the audio and gameplay. Great job!!! :D
Such an interesting concept. Loved everything, the game the art the presentation... It was really fun!
one of the best entries Ive seen in the jam. very enjoyable experience!!
loved every aspect of it. the sfx, the freedom, ui, gameplay. congrats!!
here are some suggestions (nitpicking):
again, congrats on this great game!!
Thanks so much! We are planning on developing it further so your suggestions are appreciated. :D
I love how you interpreted the theme and had an absolute blast playing. In my opinion, you achieved the perfect difficulty curve and game length for a jam submission. Great work!
The presentation is superb. As someone who has a non-existent musical talent, I like that I can botch the notes and still complete a stage 😂. Though wish there were more levels, it was really fun.
Duuude the pixel art is lit, the idea of mixing a recorder app to make a game is so smart, i love it !!
I really like the concept of this game and there is so much you could do with this. If you choose to continue this project some advice would be to add a hotkey to play so I don't have to use the mouse. Otherwise, this game is great the music is subtle but in a good way and allows for the notes to be heard the art is great and cohesive very very well done. :D
That can totally be considered a possibility! We are planning on continuing this project, so thank you for the feedback! Glad you enjoyed
Really cool game, its fun to think of the path then building it with music! 🎶
The only improvements I can think of is add some feedback on the button when clicking on them in the menu. Good job!
Thank you! I totally agree with you, menu will definitely need an upgrade when we keep working on this.
Too short, I need more, also a tutorial would be nice, I almost clicked off assuming it didnt work after you played the notes, i habitually dont read descriptions
Thanks for the feedback, we just added a video to the comments of the page that shows how to play.
yeah, i had to go back and see if i could find the controls anywhere, the piano controls looked rather intuitive, but not being able to move until after I played the piano made me think i just couldn't move, I hope this is valuable feedback
Appreciate it!
Really fun and clever, first game I’ve played that interprets the theme this way, well done!
Thank you!
Wow such an original concept, it's super polished. Great job!
Thank you! I must say I played your game... its amazing!!!
Really creative game! love the music aspect of it really satisfying!
A little bit confusing to get into, but I've certainly never played a game quite like this! It was fun wrapping my head around having to make multiple platforms at the same time.
Good game. It's a very creative play twist on the theme, but it took a moment to figure out what to do. I would have described the game as a music based platformer to help people better understand the game play.
Loved so much the concept, as a musician, this is awesome. Good game!
I really like the concept. It took me a little bit to figure out exactly how the game worked, but once I did, I really enjoyed it. Great job!
I've seen a few other games in the jam where you build a level from music notes, but playing the notes in real time was a unique twist. It was a bit difficult to play multiple notes simultaneously, and the line moving immediately gave me little time to move my hands into position, but when I did manage to place the notes right it felt good. Overall, an interesting idea, with a good execution.
The biggest disappointment is that it ended. Put together a tutorial and a few dozen levels and it would easily be worth $5-$10 on steam. When I beat the first level and saw 1/4 notes filled in, I thought it was a ranking system so I was trying to get a better score by using fewer notes or holding keys down for the least time possible. Only to realize it meant it was level 1 of 4 completed. Might be harder but a ranking system based on the total amount of time notes were held or total number of notes placed would be great for replay value.
Ha ha, glad you enjoyed it so much! It was a little unclear about the notes at the end, we are planning on adding a sort of story which will explain more and hopefully clear any confusion.
I liked very much the game, its really fun to play and so creative, good work!
Glad you enjoyed it!
really unique concept! the extra detail of the note block actually playing when the player touches it is amazing and i would love to see a fleshed out story which incorporates saving the different notes and why they're locked up. the ui looks incredibly polished and makes it look like a game which could be released right now.
Great idea! We were trying to add dialogue and a story, but we ran out of time. So glad you enjoyed it!!
