Really fun! although i found a sneaky little bug >:)

i just get stuck to the ceiling when i hit the corner at a certain angle, and its not rare cuz i was able to do this twice (second time was to get this photo lmao)

erm akshually (。- .•) thats due to a variation of hydroplaning and the tendency of that small amount of water to rapidly re-freeze if its attached to any sizable mass of ice. so its not a bug its physics (˶˃⤙˂˶)

I absolutely love the convergence of the slippery ice and the flinging mechanic. Love the levels too! Super fun game! We were considering having our character fling as well (which I still may explore, especially after playing yours), but we ended up opting for just typical jump and run. If you’d like to play it, I’d love your opinion on adding flinging here, especially after you’ve spent some time thinking about designing around it. Either way, super great game and art :D

This game is so evil and mean and unforgiving and I love it! I am nowhere near good enough to finish this game, but I love games that are unapologetically HARD. The art is simple but really fits the game (and makes falls feel a bit less infuriating). I hope you continue doing what you love you sadist bastard!

ive noticed how many people are struggling, so i wanted to show off my mad skills with this speedrun video, watch and learn:

Like most people apparently, I found the game pretty hard. I really wanted to go further, but I struggled quite a bit. The game however feels good and polished, so that's still a +! Congratulation for making this in only 48h :D

Add me to the list of people struggling to get past the first obstacle. The idea has some potential, but here's what most of my experience was:

  • At first I assumed I had to start the drag from the ice cube, which made it impossible to jump very far
  • Even after figuring out I could start the drag from anywhere, I kept trying to drag outside the small window, which would activate the jump before I could aim.
  • I would get caught on corners and lose most of my speed, and then I would try again but overcompensate, launch past my target, and slide back to the beginning.

The idea is great - but holy moly it's difficult and unforgiving. Even seeing the gifs you provided of the exact parts I was struggling with didn't really help me, so it's 100% also a skill issue :D But very nice work, congrats!

Very creative entry - but extremely difficult to control. The sliding mechanic pairs nicely with the sling. One thing I would like to see is if you sling yourself at a wall while stuck, you don’t just go up in a straight line but bounce off, to make it easier to get unstuck. Nice use of the theme!

Climbing a mountain while still being frozen? That's a super determined climber! While I couldn't even get close to the top, I like the game's concept.
