Really cool concept, my only issue was that I just got a bit dizzy from turning the ship. But scaling a map is a really intersting take. You should keep expanding the game!
Very fun concept, and I love the art style! The map and boat mechanics are both fun and add a nice challenge to navigation. Well done!
I loved this game, especially the aspect of navigating with a map :)
I did got stuck though, didn't recall (or saw) the target island after bringing the gem to the start... I'll be giving this game another go, later today.
I did noticed there weren't any background music in-game, only at the menu. And, the game didn't go to fullscreen & the text were a little too small to read.
The map is always a bonus on such a game, but I'd love to have the ability to pan around the map & plan out my journey...
yep there is a bug with the music, I'm kinda sad for it. There is a fullscreen option a bit hidden in options if you want to give the game an other go ! (I know i should have maybe may have it go fullscreen by defaut)
Very cool game! Nice take on the theme and very easy to pick up and play. I also thought the movement was a liiittle hard on the eyes, but otherwise I really liked the minimalistic style. Very enjoyable!
Art is nice! I agreed with other that it's dizzying, also I would've liked to full screen it :)
Cute and polished, but i got a little dizzy with the whole world moving and sea animation, maybe a simpler background would be a little kinder on the eyes c:
the game is fun
The game is sweet and fun so i'll just say : Bravo, t'as géré :D
Merci beaucoup ! C'était vraiment intense mais oui je suis content du résultat !
Really nice cool game! I feel like there could be a version with colour and that had multiple types of ink, to just add a bit more complexity to it!
Thank you ! I used two colors because I was alone on the dev and assests, but I really like your idea of different color of ink, I also at one point thought about stamps but didn't have time :D
Very good controls and super original idea. Cool asthetics. Great Job!!
Thank you, all my first day was on the controls of the boat ahah
The music and vibes were super charming! And once I started using dotted lines as paths to save ink, it felt both smart and it tied into the style! Really nice game!
Congrats, you found one of the best way to use the ink ;) Glad you liked the game !
Nice aesthetics and vibe! Would love to see this expanded into a full game.
Thank you very much, this is one of the best thing to say :D
This was really cool, Loved the look and feel and reading all the O'ner's text in my head with a french accent was definitely a bonus haha
Great work!
Ahah, maybe I'm still a bit french when I was writing his parts :D
Loved everything!
Nice aesthetics, good gameplay loop, clever use of the jam theme!
Congratulations!
Thank you, glad you liked it !
"I'm the owner of the ship, Mr. O'ner" lmao
This was absolutely fantastic!
Add a soundtrack and some SFX andyou could easily turn this into a full game :) (oops, apparently i had my browser muted lol)The map sometimes opened on the wrong section (nothing a reload didn't fix), and I got instantly teleported from Good Times Creek to the end point, but those were minor blemishes on an extremely creative and ambitious concept executed to near perfection!
Thank you very much ! Glad you like it and you that you could have listened to the really good ost from my friend !
Awesome art! Once I slowed down my pace and figured out what the map was showing, I got the hang of things. Tighter controls would have stopped me from getting stuck a few times, but really love the idea of a slower-paced seafaring game. Unique and very intriguing :)
That was exactly the idea behind the controls, to have a slower gameplay, glad you liked it 😁
Absolutely love your art style, the map is so great !!
Thank you I really try my best for the art 😁
The game's quite fun. I really like the sort of 1 bit graphics and the idea is pretty good (even if I'm not sure it adheres to the theme). However, I found the fact that I had to zoom in and go into the options menu to play the game quite frustrating (I'm playing on Edge) and had a few issues with the ship while turning (I found a shortcut to my destination but kept running in circle since I had to go through a small passage and the ship wouldn't make small turns). If you could add more depth to the story to prevent it from being too repetitive, I think this would become such a great game!
Thank you for the returns, it’s my first time exporting my game to web and I made some mistakes. I agree on the story it was just for the tutorial at first ! Glad you like the game
