How does your game fit the theme?
The game features a unified Health and XP bar that lets your perks grow as you gain experience, but also scale down if you take damage. You’ll see this in action as your character visibly grows or shrinks, and you’ll feel it too, with your power and speed adjusting dynamically if you're not careful.

Super fun, enjoyed levelling up because I hadn't played games like these in a while.

I like the theme too, good job on the drawings!

cool game! love the art style and animations, maybe less spores to collect?

Cosmetic upgrades? Yes please! I will say, it felt quite slow to level up the first few times. Survivors type games typically have you level up after the first few enemies, but could be really fun with some fine tuning of the numbers. GG!

Fellow mushroom shooter! I thought this game was super cute and I loved the art style. I think having number of spores needed to level up was a bit too high. It got tedius after awhile of the same enemy types though I did play it all the way through. I also think each enemy takes too many shots to kill. I want to start feeling the feedback of scaling up faster. I'm also not sure if it's possible to take damage after reaching max level? Either that or I'm just too much of a pro skills epic gamer to take damage. Overall, great work for 96 hours!

There is always room for improvement, but for a game made in this short period of time- this is really good. Good Job :)

I love the isometric style, you did a good job with it. A little bit slow to level, and the punishment for taking damage is that... it takes longer to level? This could be a great mechanic if the gameplay was a bit faster paced but I just found it kinda annoying here. Still, great work for a solo dev and there is definitely something here

The game is a solid top down shooter game ! The uniform XP and Health system is really innovative and mix things up as you even devolve when you take too much damage ! It took some time to understand that they are doors to go to the others rooms, and i would have like some small upgrade (like small attack speed boost or smth) in between the evolves ! But i understand that a jam can be quite tough to not overscope :)

I abuse the fact that when you switch direction in reset the attack timer on the hero and i shredded the last boss ! And it was quite fun

Overhall really good game, Good job !

Takes a bit long to level up the first time but the levelling thing is cool :) I like the quality of life feature where you automatically get all the experience if you've killed everything in the level

I like the leveling up! I like how you're leveling up system is also your life.

What a fun little game. Love the upgrades and the final boss was epic(although a bit hard to find took a good bit of wandering around).

Also I have to ask did you use sound effects from Counter-Strike 1.6?

Developer

Hey! Thanks for playing my game. Glad you enjoyed.

The sound effects are from samplefocus.com. I've added it to the credits section as well. Cheers!

The bullet sound reminds me so much of the suppressed CT gun that’s why I asked.

Developer(+1)

No worries. Thanks for helping me improve the description. Cheers!

Hehe so cool, the final boss is kinda intense, well done!

Really neat idea! The wooded dungeons gave me a bit of a cult of the lamb feel! I couldn't figure out how to get more bullets though, so I kinda got stuck. Super fun game tho. Plus the music was such a vibe.

Developer

Oh oh... Sounds like you might have stumbled upon a bug. You are not supposed to run out of ammo. I wonder what you were doing when it happened... I'll try to figure out what caused that. Anyway, thanks a lot for playing my game and for the feedback.

Really awesome art style. The music fits the game perfectly. Keep up the good work!

Fun little mushroom-themed shoot-em-up here -- the aesthetics are off the charts, and the upgrade felt great too. Not super sure how we're meant to find the final boss, but I got there after enough wandering and took him down. Solid jam entry for sure - absolutely love the vibes in this one!

Developer

Thanks for playing and congrats for beating the game! The boss spawns naturally once you collect enough XP. You just need to play a few more rooms once you reach max level. Cheers!
