I really liked the game, but the beginning is always kind of slow. Once you get a bunch of power-ups the game gets really fun. Good job!
thanks! I agree, I would like it to get to the end faster but I didn't want to make it "too difficult" or to not give players enough time to learn the main mechanic.
Really clever mechanistic, fit perfectly with the jam's theme, i enjoyed it a lot !
Easy To Understand And Overall A Very Fun Game :)
Characters are super cute, the design is very unique, the fighting system is very solid and tight, rolling and shooting feels pretty good.
There are still something I dont understand, for example, why sometimes the distance of rolling is very short, and sometimes I cant shoot so I was hit(maybe reloading? but I cant reload if I roll to empty ground.)
When I was chasing by a lot of enemies, I hope I can just shoot nearby enemies, currently I cant kite and too many enemies are real threats.

The distance is short because you only roll the distance of the dice. If it says 1 on your head, you roll 1 square.
You reload by Rolling over enemies and you have 3 bullets. If you're out of bullets, you can't shoot until you roll over someone.
Making kiting difficult was part of the idea. I understand its frustrating but I didn't want this to just be another top down shorter, where you look like a dice. That wouldn't have been very creative in my opinion.

Once I figured out that rolling into enemies was the key, I got right into the game flow! I do think that having an enemy type which can attack you inbetween rolls is a bit contrary to the game's intentions, but otherwise this is a really underrated entry!
Going from not understanding how anything works to blazing through hordes of enemies in a few attempts and a couple of minutes felt really good.

Honestly, the only thing I wish this game had is a description of the powerups, everything else is perfect. The mechanics are simple and easy to get into but gameloop is just fire.
As a sidenote I really like that instead of putting player on a timer you went with a real time enemies to enforce movement, not only do they create tension, they also can be used for combos adding another layer of strategy. Great job!

great game! it feels really satisfying to chain kills and roll over enemies, and the time stop effect is well implemented. I do think the enemies that still move during the time stop should stop when you choose an upgrade (its not that big of a deal)
Agreed, I added that enemy last second to make it a bit more difficult and fast. Ideally they should stop on upgrade. I'm glad you liked it :)

I loved the art, loved the concept and the excecution. I would have never thought about a turn based roguelike bullet hell, let alone have a type of enemy who works in real time to pressure you to work fast. This is my favorite game of the jam so far!

There are a few things that could be added though to really drive the experience further! All these little points have the * of "but considering the tight time its probably better you didnt focus on these first.
The death animation is definitely a bit abrupt, would be nice for a proper death sequence rather than cutting away.
Skill Descriptions would help alot as getting dup skills was unclear what it was even doing.
Those two minor things aside this game was amazing.

Yup I slapped that death screen in way too fast. Thanks for the feedback! Glad you enjoyed it! A lot of that stuff I planned on adding if I had time. Maybe I'll make a new version in the future.
