Nice work! Loved the presentation, the effects felt unique too. Felt that more often I was fighting against the fact that I had to play golf with a cubic ball, however :D

I love the idea, it's one of my favorite game of the jam ! There's a lot of potench'

Developer

Thanks so much!!

All the kind comments on this has inspired me to expand on it more.

Really enjoyed this one. I think you could expand on variety with more time if you continued development. Maybe using a 20 sided die instead to have better rolling. My one issue is the power bar is so similar to range the dice can go sometimes it can become confusing. I would think my dice would go that far but really it was just how much power I put behind it and would go nowhere or half the distance.

Developer(+1)

Yeah the power bar and dice shape are the two biggest parts that need working on. I still like the 6 sided dice, so I need to think of a way to get it to roll better. As for the power bar, I would remake it by showing the actual distance the ball will travel, however being physics based, that isn't too easy.

Thanks for the feedback!

Awesome game. The major catch for me is the respawn. The fact that you respawned to the previous shot and not to the beginning of the game made the game more enjoyable I feel.

That's a good idea for a golf game! Easy to pick up, fun to play. I like the suggestion from Kokosnusswurzel about the d20 with more effects for a post-jam game, that'd be cool.

I really cool ideer.

The fact that you can play strategyly and take a small shot to turn the dice was geat.

I little problem is that somtimes it is hard to se the levels design, and se hills and holes int the level.

but fun and addictiv

Developer

Yeah I agree. The levels either needed to be more obvious, or I should have added some camera controls.

Thanks for the feedback!

I keep hitting the dice gently. Then it rolls over one side and I remember it is a dice and not a ball.

Slick, simple, elegant, random, loved it. I was only getting slightly frustrated with the physics of trying to get a cube rolling. I was wondering how this game would play with a d20 (though of course, you'd need 14 more play styles). I think have a dice that's has a few more faces may allow it to "roll" better. Either way, I can definitely see this scaling into something bigger.

Developer(+1)

Yeah a d20 would be an obvious choice to make it more ball like, but as you say that's a lot more effects. I like the d6 but I agree that it does need to roll a bit better. I'll have to look into how to fix that post-jam.

Thanks for the feedback :)

Really cool twist on classic golf games!

At first was kind of weird playing with a die but in no time it started being really engaging

Loved the die effects and the levels! Awesome work!

Amazing game concept! I really liked the presentation/VFX but the gameplay was also really fun. Kenney assets are also a plus!

Really cool twist on the genre !

Always like a good putt putt game :)

The ambiance is nice, the assets are well used & the music fit well :)

Only 1 tiny minor bug to report : when you just click (not click & drag) the putt appear with the arrow .

Appart from that, it's a pretty solid entry.  Good job :)

Developer

Yeah I noticed that bug after I submitted it. I think it is a problem with the browser as I don't think the download version does it - I'll have to do some tests.

Thanks for the feedback and kind words :)

This is a really cute little golf game with a twist! The 'ball' did always go less far than I expected since its a cube but I really enjoyed playing it.

Awesome game! Really fun!

What I liked?

- The mix between dice and golf is clever, and it works pretty well!

- All kind of effects were interesting, especially jump shot

- Moreover, I found quite satisfying to hit at max force the flag goal, in particular with the overpowered effect

Other comments:

- Nothing to add more, apart a little thing, the game should be played in Fullscreen, indeed in windowed (web version), I had troubles to use my club golf, where sometimes it didn't hit when I released the left mouse button.

Overall awesome job!

I like the feel of the game and style youve got going on it. Its a very feel good kind of game which i like :)

One of the few games I've played to full completion :D I really liked this one! Such a good take on the theme, and the 'randomness' didn't detract from the game at all, really really good! apart from a few bugs (which almost added to the fun), with a bunch more levels this could easily be released as a full game! Really good job, well done!

The sound of failure made my day :D that's so good!

The only drawback of this game is it would be great to have more effects(

Anyway, that's a really nice game)

Nice little mini golf game with a very special twist. Depending on which side of the dice is on top, a different effect is activated. But I would have liked more effects, or different types of dice. That would have added even more variation to the gameplay. But I can understand that this has not been implemented due to time constraints. The level design was also very well designed, with the possibility of taking risky shortcuts. But I had the feeling there that you have to have a certain effect in order to get through the shortcut. It would have been nice to be able to get through all the shortcuts with any effect. Despite that, I really enjoyed my time playing this game. Amazing work though!

Pretty fun game that fits the theme well, the indicator was a little deceptive though

Developer

Yeah I should have made it so it actually shows how far you're going to go, although it is physics based so it'd be pretty difficult to predict it.
