I love the minimalism, the art, the music, the gameplay.
But why are the crab people so angry?
Congrats on finishing the jam !
Pretty fun, but I wasn't able to figure out what was happening most of the time. I was mainly curious to figure out if it mattered how much you "charged" up your attack, but I couldn't figure out if it actually did or not. It was also unclear which enemies were effected by certain things - for example, when enemies duplicated, some would and some wouldn't.
I think there is a cool game idea here. I like that 1 die was an "attack" and 1 was an "intensity". That idea is really cool, and I think with a bit more clarity, there is a really fun game idea tucked away. Great work!
I really like the simple art style! I had a little bit of trouble figuring out how exactly to perform the actions that the dice rolled.
Very cool game! I think it has a lot of potentials if you decide to keep working on it. Here's a few suggestions I think you might want to consider if you decide to do that...
-There's a powerbar for the dice but I didn't see much reason to charge it up. Charging it up meant it took longer for me to get my next roll. It might add a cool element to almost damage the enemies with the dice based on the dice's velocity.
-It'd be cool to be able to use the coins collected to buy upgrades like more dice or different abilities
-I didn't quite pick up on how things were decided to be damaged, it seemed kind of random. Might be interesting if there was an effect around the dice or player that showed a damage radius or something when it was being applied... I'm not sure if that's how it works.
-I would have liked to be able to shoot up and down too
Overall super cool. Loved the music and I wanted more! So that's a good thing :)
Really fun and cool game! I especially like the minimalistic artstyle! Good job!
Really cool idea, the mechanics start to feel really good after playing a little. Great game
I like how intuitive the gameplay is, it didn't take long to learn the mechanics and optimize my rolling to get as many coins as possible! It'd be nice to have something to spend those coins on, but perhaps that's something you can add post jam : )
The idea is cool but the weapons don't seem to work for me :/
The game looks cool tho :)
Concept is cool ! I had trouble understanding how to play, but I finally figured it out ! (a little tutorial would have been perfect). The only little problem was the lack of juice, juicy effecs and animation...but still I had a great time!
Fun game! The art was really cool. I always seemed to have the same attack, but I think it was meant to change?
Nice idea ! The game would be even better if there was progression over time.
Cool and complete game for the jam! It's a neat idea!
As others have noted, hitting enemies with the dice feels like it should do something.
However, once you understand what's happening, it's fairly intuitive.
The aesthetics and music were cohesive, which was awesome!
Cool concept. I like the art and the sound was really nice too.
A bit confusing at first, but after a while it became a bit clearer. I would have prefered it if the throwing the dice at the enemies was what actually did the damage rather than the effects. Then the effects could add bonuses instead.
Other than that, it was a cool little experience!
