Wow, this game blew me away. It was very polished, everything seemed to work well, instructions were well-made and clear, and also planned out properly so the face of the die needed lands perfectly with what was being presented (that was good tutorial design). Though this puzzle mechanic was not unique in the jam, there was a good and unique twist to it. I like that the faces of the die can be imprinted with different types of elements, each with their own unique abilities that can present a challenge on their own. There were enough levels to keep me entertained, the camera movement worked very well (though sometimes it was hard to see things at all angles).

The artstyle, the music, and the sound effects were also very well-made, it suits the environment very well, and each type of effect are easily distinguishable. The puzzles are challenging enough, but still pretty easy... Could definitely see this being expanded into a full game. There isn't really much criticism I can give here. Well done!

I enjoyed the game. I really enjoyed the sound

Its a very unique puzzle game with a lot of depth involved. The core gameplay is there, with some polishing based on the other comments previously, this game can be very fun!

Would love if you can check out my game too. Thanks!

Neat game! I loved the state changes for the faces of the die, it's a cool mechanic and unique, I haven't seen anything like it yet. I think this could be expanded into a full puzzle game!!

I agree with some of the reviews that gameplay wasn't super smooth: the camera placement had issues (I think following the player all the time would be better) though the rotation was nice, it was difficult to make out the numbers and faces and also for some reason there was a super bright light emitted from the spikes whenever they went down, which made it harder to navigate the level.

Overall great effort!!

Yo, A really cool puzzle game. Enjoyed the game so much with the characteristics that you had given to the Dice. Could definitely see it growing!!

Nice presentation, the learning curv is well done! Nice puzzles aswell!

I really liked the puzzles, they were fairly engaging. Rolling cubes on tiles seems to be a common idea for this jam, but I think your twist on it is nice. Clever thing with "painting" the sides too!

It's a shame that there is no background (black does not really fit the style, I think) and the camera is wonky, but otherwise, great job!

A really fun and creative puzzle game. It was a little light on content for what the concept requires, IMO, but I understand the time constraints on the game. My biggest issue was that I had a fairly hard time keeping track of what effects were on what face. I am colorblind, and some of the different types (such as Ice and Metal) were hard for me to visually distinguish.

Developer

Thank you !

Yeah... we're a little frustrated that we didn't have time to do more levels.
Thank you for your comment regarding color blindness! If we continue to develop the game we will think about a more accessible version.

Really fun concept! I would love to see more puzzles using this mechanic!

Cool looking game that made me think. Having the elemental sides in addition to the numbers added variety to the level. My favorite part was the ability to change perspectives to see hidden buttons, although, in some parts the level, the cube can hardly be seen.

Developer

Thank you !!

We're a little frustrated that we didn't have time to do more levels, and ... yeah... the camera is a bit wonky.  I hope we'll have the time and motivation to improve it in the future :)

That was a very fun game!  the take on reassigning the sides of the dice and being able to pickup different powers on the sides of the dice is very good!  The puzzles are very well thought out as well!

Really creative and great presentation!

My main issue is with the camera, maybe a free rotation camera  will make things more enjoyable.

Thank you ! :)

We thought about a free camera, but a grid based game with a free camera is a bit weird, especially with controlls. However with better level design the camera should not be a problem anymore ^^'

Creative mechanics and good execution! I just can't get used to play around the automatic camera and camera rotation.

dice burned, but the scene is still open. Very loud sound at the beginning, I almost lost hearing))

Developer

Hi, thanks for playing !

I think here the dice may be just at the blue checkpoint, but hidden by the bad camera angle...

I apologize if this is not what you wanted to hear but... Your game is the best I played in this jam for now. I mean, seriously. You sure did use outdated fonts and graphics, but THE GAMEPLAY!!! How did you even came up with this idea??? I didn't quite get that the floor was being "printed" on the die faces, but as soon as I realized it I was shocked. That's one of the most clever ideas I've seen.

Congratulations on your full mark for your Creativity.
Keep up with your AMAZING ideas!

Thank you so much for this nice comment, we really appreciate it ! We will keep working on this game and hopefully release a full version !

I'll be honest with you, I've played a lot of "rotate to match the die face with the ground/the goal" games so far and yours is the best so far. Presentation is top notch (except for the music in the main menu lol). It's just too short! All the mechanics were introduced beautifully and then there were no puzzles with them.

Developer

Thank you for your nice comment ! We also feel like the game is too short, but we didn't have the time to do more. Hopefully we will keep working on it and release a full version with more complex levels ! Thanks for playing !

Really cool! and great step-by-step tutorial-like gameplay

Thanks a lot !

Wow, I love the concept! It's using the theme very well :)

Small tips: using "WASD" for moving is a standard in video game! To have all your controls close to your hand, you could have used WASD for movement and Q/E to rotate the camera. :)

Good job for your game!

Developer

Thank you for this nice comment !

Unefortunatly, we are from a country where keyboard are not QUERTY, and it's tedious for us when a game only use WASD because it should be ZQSD on our layout .  At least arrow keys are universal :) (But if we had more time we could have implemented a clean version where you can use wichever keyboard layout you want)
