Really awesome job with this, I had a lot of fun. I see some comments about performance but for me it ran super smoothly which was great. It took a bit of a learning curve to understand how many jumps I had and how to maneuver best but then I had the hang of things. It's for sure tough when you are collecting lots of dice and so the color you have to avoid is changing often. I think you did a great job on the art and overall presentation, it looks clean and polished and really easy to interpret while going at high speeds. Great job!

The comment below already says it but yeah, the movement is really rough, the come down from the jump is extremely slow. And running into sides of blocks is an immediate game over cause you get stuck. It would be nicer if you just slid under it. Otherwise neat concept!

Fun idea to get extra points by getting the dice, which makes the game harder.

Two suggestions:

- The movement of the character is... very choppy. I would smooth it out. I felt the game was running at 15fps.

- Hitting the blocks sideways is basically a loss. Making the character be able to miss a jump without punishing the player as much would be better, since the game is already hard in other aspects.

Hey pretty cool little runner you got here! Kinda nice to have a break from games with complicated puzzles or advanced vague mechanics. I like the only one button approach!

This has a pretty nice game design. Nice idea to have the dice be extra points but also switch things up on you with the changing of the colors. Also cool to add more dice once you get a high enough score, ups the stakes!!

One minor thing I noticed, but the audio seemed to only work on my left side? Kinda weird playing with the audio being silent in my right ear. I don't think it was on my side since currently outside of the game I hear outside of the right.

Anyways very cool idea and game! Good work on this!

Hi, thanks for playing!! Yes, unfortunately I never tested the audio with earbuds or any other sort of stereo output until after the jam ended, so it does only play on the left side; sorry about that. Another thing to put on the list of things to fix when the voting period ends :)

Simple to understand gameplay, nice graphics! Haven't seen many games like this

Great game, cool take on the theme, cohesive art style! Adding dices is a cool idea too. I’d maybe make the jump less floaty but that the only complaint I have! Congrats on the game, good job

Developer

Thanks for playing! And yup definitely agree on the jump. After voting is over I am planning on making some adjustments to tighten up the movement

the loss sound never fails to make me laugh lol

Developer

Yeah I love this sound I've used in a majority of games I have made lol. It's "jingles_NES00" from Kenney's Music Jingles audio asset pack :)

Cool idea! I liked the running animation!

I like the way the characters art uses two different shades to aid with a sense of depth. I think a game like this could use an incentive other than score.

Exciting game! The strategy is to stay on the ground as much as possible.

Neat little game! Hardest part was not getting pushed offscreen :p

Nicely polished and addictive! Great concept!

The gameplay concept is creative and is fun to play and the sounds you picked work very well. The player run animation is also very good. Great Job!!!

Nice work; was getting some serious flappy-bird nostalgia - I don't know why I didn't want to stop, but, I didn't! :D

Tried to play without reading the description :D At first, I thought that I need to jump on platform of the same color (as die).

Then I read the description...

Good job!

Nicely polished. I like the music.

I actually wish it was a bit harder. The movement is okay. But adding more dice was a genius idea to turn up the heat!

Got over 23,000 with 3 dice. Pretty tense then. Good work! Maybe put your description in the itch page as well. I missed it here and was very confused at first.

Thanks for playing and thanks for the description tip!
