I love the art style. The death screen of the die covered in bandages was really funny and the player die looks really clean.

I do think the enemy spawning could do with a bit more work, sometimes it felt like the enemies were spawning right one me. I couldn't quite tell if that was a mechanic or I was just drifting too close to enemy spawn locations.

The weapon balance also might be a bit off.  A very large chunk of the weapons are melee, but they feels a bit inconsistent to use due to how the weapon circles the player.  They also don't seem powerful enough to be worth using. I tried my best to use the mace, but without being able to dodge roll to get closer without rolling the weapon it was hard to advance on enemies without getting hit in the face.

The ranged weapons felt pretty good though. The starter pistol was satisfying to use, and the poker chip seemed to fire as fast as I clicked and that was really fun to unload with.

Hey! good job the general feel of the game is pretty fun and the music is a good fit for the playstyle.

This was a fun little game!  I especially like the characters and the background music.  Rolling for weapons was fun but I didn't use it once I got a weapon I liked.  The grainy background could use some work and the enemy hit effects could have a little more juice but otherwise good job!

Great ! I like that we have to roll to avoid the enemies, and so we change the weapon ! Otherwise we would use only one weapon ! Maybe you could add an item that heals us.

An interesting take on the "rolling" mechanics of traditional top-down shoot'em ups complimented with solid arts and animations.

Getting attacked by lingering enemies can be a bit frustrating, but I'm assuming that's because there was an incomplete "hit-stun mechanic," as I can tell that enemies get this "stagger" animation when hit and upon death.

Design-wise, I would like to be motivated to swap weapons constantly, as this seems to be the game's gimmick. Adding ammo system, having range-immune enemies, you name them.

Would gladly see a complete version of this.

The game idea is pretty good. However the camera feels a bit too close for me. Also it looks as if the enemies still shoot you when they reach 0 HP - only after they disappeared did they stop attacking. Also idk if it's just me but the fps is a bit low. Other than that, pretty decent!

I really like how you roll yourself to dodge and to change weapon. I'd like to see more gameplay elements like that. I feel like it needs to be a bit zoomed out and a little easier but other than that good work!

it all depends on what we have the time to do. we just did this as a team for the weekend, but I’m open to polishing this with the same team. we had a lot of fun making it and bonding throughout, so I’m sure we’ll try to revisit it at some point

I would love to see volume setting button next time +)
The game is jam, especially cool that you need to "slash" enemies with mouse movement (not click) - very original

I love the art in this game!

It's a bit disappointing that there is no feedback to hitting or killing an enemy, it would feel so much nicer to play if there was a bit of screen shake, or the enemies had a damage animation.

The art is quite cute itself :3 , i think the addition of a mini map will improve the gameplay for sure, just because he game starts out already pretty intense, not knowing the map and it being quite narrow too, either way. nice game :)

Similar idea to our game so I think I'm not the one to judge how cool it is. The enemies swarm you really quick, and there's no way to hide from the projectiles, so the difficulty is really up there.

I liked the casino theme and the high pace, good job!

Damn, I really wanted to play your game, but I’m on Linux. :/ From the description it looks like we kinda had the same idea. :D

The character and animations are really nice! Loved the style. I also love this genre so it's an easy thumbs up for me. The only thing I would give feedback on is that damaging enemy should have a bit more feedback. Maybe a sound effect or a flash of the enemy. Other than that, pretty solid :D good job

Great game! I really liked the art style and the overall atmosphere of the game, the idea is pretty cool, and overall the game is great, can't even put my finger on any negative sides, good job!

Would be cool if you'd check out my game too ;)
