Interesting concept and I like that you tried something original! I liked the writing, characters and storyline(s). However, for this to feel more engaging, I think using a player action to roll the dice or having some other mechanic or even more visual feedback with what's changing with the story would be nice.
Great effort, good luck!
Chad is officially the best character and I stand behind him on the brioche debate. Other than that nice little visual novel. The variety wasn’t as big since there were only five or six different scenes in a chapter, but interesting idea nonetheless.
I like visual novels, but I felt this one isn’t for me, there were too many jokes forced into the scenes. Nevertheless, congratulations on delivering a finished game in the timeframe!

The idea of making a visual novel with die rolling determining how the story plays out was interesting, as a premise. However, I honestly couldn't see what difference the die actually made, in terms of which scenes I saw and when "roll of the dice" was spoken. I played three times, and all three times I got the same first three scenes (in a slightly different order), the same second scene twice (with once having it interrupted for reasons I didn't understand), and two of the five endings; the die at the top didn't seem to match with what scene was presented, and with "roll of the dice" it just always seemed to result in an explosion. The lack of understanding how the die actually impacted my story experience made the mechanic less enjoyable for me.
Getting the same scenes also meant I wound up wanting to skip through scenes for which I'd already seen the story, and as a result the delay caused from the animations made it take longer to get through, which annoyed me.
Overall, interesting idea, but the experience didn't gel with me. All that said, congratulations on making the game!
Ahahahahahah I love the animation for the characters lmao
*shakes violently while speaking dialogue*
I don't know what to say about this game... other than that it is very unique from the other games I've seen and played. When I first saw this, I expected a silly and goofy game especially from the thumbnail with amogus and chad (I am personally a brioche enjoyer). Still, it would be nice to have some player interaction especially for a game like this. Overall, it is a somewhat interesting and fun game.
LMAO BRUH. Played at https://twitch.tv/hedgein <3
Wise words indeed.
Guess we found the Reddit user. Jokes aside, good job finishing a game. I don't think an honest review would be fitting since I doubt is meant to be taken seriously.
This was the first game we made together and the first game jam we participated in. Because of this we made our game to be silly and goofy and quirky but would still appreciate some honest feedback and points for improvement if you have a few minutes to spare!
Amogus sus
Well, not much agency of the player in the game (I'm actually a visual novel fan, but at least they have branching dialogues usually). I kinda like the characters, but it is not so compelling to follow them around. The dice theme is a bit forced unto it too, and the "voice triggered bomb" is a bit too much for me. With more time for the development I'm sure this could turn out pretty neat, but as it is now, I did not enjoy it so much.
Thank you for such an honest reply. We appreciate the critism and will keep it in mind for future projects!
Don't sweat it. I'm looking forward for your new entries. The story is good, and I'm sure you can do much better without the time restraint))
Gigachad Is fire hahaha didn't know you were chill like that \m/ :p. shaking animation was a little too much, but overall fun. you helped me figure out how fast I can click, that's for sure
I really enjoyed the way the characters are represented, including the shaky animations :D
Only wish that there was some more agency and interactivity. My patience with reading without any choices tends to be a bit reduced.

Gigachad, among us and a Grypthon (my head just think of python) guy in here. Total love it. The Grypthon guy also reminds me of Olaf in Frozen 2. Always ask some silly question xD
This game is absolutely peak comedy XDD I really enjoyed the amogus ending.
"This game is amazing 😎" - Chad (this game is actually great)
Amogus talks to chad
10/10 game would bleach my eyes out again
Amogus
I really enjoyed it
