Very simple mechanics, would love to see a more “upgrade-able” dam like tools, “better teeth” and more challenging obstacles or speed-up water flow.

Love the beaver and idea.

Fun! The mechanics feel quite polished (although a bit slow), the round might be a minute shorter, I really love the growing dam and cute assets. Great job! :-)))

Simple mechanics but still challenging and entertaining. I think my favorite part was watching the mountainous dam keep growing and growing to crazy proportions and then just cartoonishly falling over on top of the river.

I think a little more depth added to the gameplay loop could've been a welcome addition, but for game jams I understand and respect staying close to a small scope for your game.

Overall, the game looks and sounds great, and traversing the river offers a good amount of challenging without being too punishing. Nice work on this one!

PB: Score 6025! Also agree the round length felt a little protracted, but the mechanics were great and could definitely see some nice power ups being added like extended inventory.. Great interpretation of the theme! Thank you so much for participating, great work!

Thanks for organizing the event! It prompted us to finally try Godot for the first time, and we plan to use it in the future as a result :) We had originally planned some power-ups and additional content to affect carrying capacity, turn speed, pickup radius, etc., but didn't want to overwork ourselves. Glad you liked it in its current state though!

I love Beavers. It was fun yet satisfying to see the dam larger and larger when you gather sticks and stones that can break my bone, for a simple yet fun game like this, it is really polish, the music doesn't grow old to me and it was really bopping! Lastly I love the 3D artstyle can't wait to see this game expands!

Thank you for the kind words, we're glad you enjoyed it! We definitely want to do some future projects with beavers now, they're just too cute.

It was pretty fun to just build the pile of rocks and sticks up, although it does drag on after a bit, I think the game would benefit from being about 30 seconds shorter.

Developer(+1)

Glad you enjoyed! We found the more comically large the pile, the funnier it was for us. And agreed, shorter would have probably been a touch better. Thanks for playing! :)

this game is a lot of fun. I love how the finished dam falls on the river ;) maybe you could consider making it a little bit shorter. I love the title!

Developer

Glad you enjoyed! (Your submission was a total blast as well) Shorter would probably be better, just ended up being low on the priority list and the music happened to line up by accident, lmao. Thanks for playing though! :)

A very wonderfully done game. Very polished and smooth. Great art, music and gameplay. Also, a very well put together itch page. Nice job!

Developer

Thank you so much! I'm glad you think so. (Also I probably spent the most time playing your submission, you did awesome with it!)

That was a very creative interpretation of the theme! Nice job!

Developer

Thank you! Loved seeing all the different takes this jam :)

Very simple and fun! the controls is def very sluggish, you can't even predict where the guy is moving to,  this makes it so easy to miss or accidentally run into things, i do appreciate the hazards hitbox is a bit smaller than the visual

Developer

Glad you enjoyed!

The game is really good and fun to play! I really enjoyed the visuals the bright colors matched perfectly with the more cartoonish style. I think the only issue I found was that sometimes the inventory wouldn’t fully clear, at least visually, and the items would disappear later. But overall, it’s a very polished and cool project. Congratulations!!

Developer

I'm glad you enjoyed, and thanks for the kind words! (Also loved the style of your game, very nice work!)
