Very fun and satisfying. I've always found locksmith work very interesting, and being able to get a taste of that craft was really enjoyable. The controls are very intuitive and fun. Congratulations on the entrie.

Developer

Thanks for playing. Disclaimer I have no idea if keys are made this way

I'm getting Home Depot flashbacks. Kudos!!

Developer

Thanks for playing, I hope those are good flashbacks

The most innovative game of this jam! Congratulations on making such a fun and original game. Although the game was sometimes complex for me! Good visuals but lacked VFX.

Thanks for the high praise, we feel honoured

Forge a key by forging a key, very nice double use of the theme! Also the gameplay feels good and the art is great!

Interesting take, especially love the grid lights

I love how you somehow managed to give the game a very "manual" feel, it really feels like you're working with something real, not just staring at a screen. The way you setup the controls with the cranks and levers is a great way to achieve immersion! Good stuff!

Clever game and interpretation of the theme! Would've not thought about key forgery at all. The music was super calming and helped me focus on lining up the drill. Kind of wish for hotkeys versus mouse movement though. I ran into some janky reactions when using the mouse (i.e., I would go to move the key horizontally and the game would think I'm trying to bring the drill down.

Either way, good stuff and clever game~!

Nice idea. It's interesting to see the concepts that people have taken that haven't been directly related to Blacksmithing or something similar. Good job for thinking outside the box.

Loved the menus and interface.  The game feels well done overall. The idea is very original, and very nicely executed. I'd love if there was a way to have the reference constantly on screen so I don't have to click it so frequently.

Very polished and super original idea. I want to echo the other comment about hotkeys for moving the different implements. Also, I did encounter a situation where my mouse got stuck to spinning the key movement wheel for a bit at one point. Thanks for the entry!

Extremely original idea! Fun to play, but it did take me a while to realize how to turn on the drill lol!

I really enjoyed moving the drill and using the lasers for added precision.

There is a lot of detail and the user interface looks amazing! Great job

Developer

thank you! Really appreciate the positive feedback. :)

After my 2nd key, I was wanting some hotkeys to activate/deactivate the different actions (turn on/off drill, activate lasers, rotate wheel, etc) instead of having to use the mouse for everything.  Also a heads up, the music cuts out after first key.  Good game, congrats!

Developer

Thanks! Mind if I ask which build you were playing (web, linux, mac, or windows)? I haven't been able to reproduce that music issue.

I really wanted to get controllers working. If only so I could better play on my SteamDeck! :)

I was playing the web build.  The music stopped playing after I completed the first key and went back to title.  When I started the 2nd, 3rd, etc... there was no music.  Not sure :\

Developer

Thanks! Will see if I can reproduce it tomorrow. Appreciate the response. :)
