Dang you cooked with this one and that's a big compliment considering my name. Really interesting how you implemented the freeze mechanic into the game, I only found out after the second level after struggling to open the door in the first level for like 5 minutes lol. Everything is well polished up to a tee and I love how the story is left ambiguous in the end as is. Really really liked the experience although it was admittedly very easy and very short. But for a first attempt, this is incredible. Congratulations!

Very nice game with a fun mechanic! Congratulations, again, for completing your first game! This is a great first game!

I thought it was really clever that the lazers themselves become platforms when time is frozen. Made for fun (even if frustratingly fun) levels!

My only real critiques about the game is it felt a little clunky to have to actively unlock the button and click it again to freeze the lazers. Perhaps the button could just detect that the player picked up the key and just freeze the lazers right away. Another little thing was, while the game controlled very well, for some reason, the character felt a bit floaty to me. Not horrendously so, but it was there, for me.

Over all, excellent game! Well done! Here’s a link to my playthrough of the game!

Nice work! The level design looks pretty polished. I wished to use time freeze more often, not just at the end of the level.

Nice puzzle-platformer! The idea of being able to jump off frozen bullets is cool. Also nice narrative, but it seemed a bit detached from the game mechanics? A great job for the first game!

For your first game, this is so incredibly well made. Devs understatement how well a simple background story dialog can really put a game together - I enjoyed the dialog a lot. I really love the freezing time mechanic - Surprisingly, I haven't seen many other games like this yet out of the ones I played. And I think yours is simple, clever, and really easy to understand. I wish the hitboxes on the beams were slightly more forgiving, but alas it was fair nonetheless. Great submission.

Impressive first game jam game! Looks quite polished, sounds lovely and plays consistently. At first, I got so frustrated with dodging the lasers I almost quit on Level 1, but once I realizied I could (without dying) touch the orange lines, quickly got the hang of it, getting keys, freezing time and jumping on and over lasers. You even included a water level, how cool is that?!

Lovely platformer! Flappybird-esque water level really took it out of me. Frozen beams as platforms was a neat touch!

Congrats on your first (complete) game! :D It was a nice touch to jump over the laser beams once frozen.

We enjoyed playing a lot! The difficulty ramp up at the water level reminded me of Celeste xD

Great work!

My son (6) says "I love the lasers, but I don't like the frustrating things like the lasers and having to get the key through the lasers!"

I think you could consider changing the hold to jump higher to a double jump to make movement more fluid.

Can I just say, that as a first game jam entry, this is pretty amazing! I loved being able land on a frozen laser beam to access a door.

Music is also lovely and chilled

Challenging and fun game.  Nice level design. Great Work

Very sweet game. The lasers are fairly forgiving and so are the checkpoints which is nice, it's got a surprising amount of heart, and though I felt like it was pretty short what's there is pretty great!

Wow, I love anything that has to do with manipulating time. And audio is great. If it was me I would just make player movement feel a little bit smoother. Other than that its great.
