A rock golem must escape an active volcano before it metamorphs him into metamorphic stone!
How does your game tie into the theme?
Rocks morph into different types under heat and pressure, and create gems in the process. In gemswapper, these gems metamorph your abilities to solve puzzles.

Sorry wanted to stream it today but life got in the way.
Notes while playing: Good graphics though the character looks like a way higher res than the rest, pops out a bit.
The prompt for the crystal and tunnel are a bit wonky. They take too long to appear.
What was the power on the other side of the magic barrier wall? I didn’t need it to finish the game.
Music is nice in itself but doesn’t fit the vibe or world game so well imo. The step sfx is good, feels golemy.
Overall a bit on the short side but solid quality. Good polish, controls are nice.
I rate it 🗿/10, will play Super Malphite Bros again
Hey thanks a ton for checking it out! The gem past the gate allows you to walk through the gate and destroy it! There are 2 ways of completing the puzzle, one of which requires the gate to be opened, try to find it if you got the time! The game is quite patchy I agree but I take most blame for that, couldn't coordinate the team properly due to exams haha.
A short and sweet puzzle platformer!! Love the 2.5D aesthetic, it gives me a ton of nostalgia for the DS games I loved as a kid ^^ The gem abilities were fun to tinker around with and definitely got those mental cogs turning—I especially like how there's multiple combinations that can get you to the last door! It definitely gives you a feeling of pride that you found "your own way" to solve the level, and that's an awesome thing to cultivate :D

I really liked the level design of this game. Cool the fact that for reach a certain area you need a combination of two gem, so you can't just go brain-less but you have to think about it

Thanks you for checking out the game! We did have a lot more planned but we all know how game jams go, can never get everything you wish for in the project in time lol. That's why we hope that what's in the game so far properly showcases the potential the idea has!
That's a pretty neet puzzle-platformer! I both liked and disliked how it wasn't obvious that it's a puzzle about gems swapping - it was a bit annoying like "why the hell I can do this by can do this," but then it was a quite cool "aha!" when you figured that it's exactly the point of the game :) And then it was a pleasure to figure the order and configuration :) Well done!
Also liked the art and the visuals! The "theme" part is not really there, though, to be hones, but otherwise - great submission!
Thanks a ton for playing our little project, glad it was a fun experience! Our initial idea was the golem becoming different rock types but we decided that allowing the player to have a combo of two powers they choose instead of being locked to on as per the rock type they were was more powerful in puzzle design. So yeah, the overall theme did suffer from it a bit but you're still metamorphosing your move set a lot haha :)
A fun little game, love the atmosphere and the 3d model! I was confused on how to pass the barrier, but you actually need to get below. Gosh! I feel dumb. Anyway great games, love it!

Short but really fun! I liked the level design a lot, I saw you posting updates in the discord about it and I think it all turned out great. Character anims are great too! Though the wall grab animation played when I touched walls, even when I didn't have the climbing gem. Either way, a small bug, no big deal. Over all very cool, nice work!

The differents abilities are really cool to experiment with, animations and 3D assets are great. Amazing game :)

Squirrel: I took me a while to get how to dash, but once I found out, I was able to beat it. Good controls and good flow. And well made 3d animations.
Radish: Cool graphics, interesting rocks' shapes and sense of space/perspective :).
