How does your game fit the theme?
Multiple powerups and a weird one that duplicates your player... MAYBE??

I enjoyed playing your game. The gameplay was good, and I  liked the aim shooting mechanics—LMB for shooting and RMB for the blast shot felt really satisfying when destroying wall. One thing that stood out was the awesome 2.5D blend effect between the player and the walls, which added a cool visual touch.

No major bugs that I noticed, just a couple of minor ones, but nothing that affected the gameplay. At first, I thought the player was just standing still during movement, but then I realized it’s a soul game, haha! The duplicating soul power-up is a great concept too. Overall, awesome job!

A fun experience! I would've loved if the character was animated, it would really add to the gameplay for me! It was fun destroying the cave and the power-ups were cool too! Great job :)

Very fun - i loved the destructible environment. I agree with kkcn, it would be really cool if the powerups stacked. I loved getting my doppleganger and it would have been cool to get a bunch of them :)

Overall an incredibly solid entry - I'm excited to see what you do next!

Nice game with destructible environment. Satisfying and cool πŸ˜Š

Fun game to play, destroying everything and searching for the souls. Power-ups were present and maybe not super strange but useful. More variety would be really nice though, or as someone suggested, an explosion that clears a large part of the level at once. Graphically good and everything fit together well, and the music and effects also matched the gameplay nicely. Movement a bit faster would also enhance the gameplay I think.

All in all, a good solid game with potential for more. Keep it going like that!πŸ’ͺ

Thanks was my first actual game start to finish, appreciate you hosting the game jam and excited to participate in more! The theme really got to me and I couldn't figure out a strange powerup beyond duplication. Other people had some cool concepts! Excited to see future themes.

Nice game! I wish the movement speed was a little faster so I could explore the levels quicker

Developer

Thanks for the suggestion and I agree!

This game was surprisingly entertaining. I really liked the way the environment was destructible and the doppelganger powerup was really cool. I did encounter one issue where I died out of seemingly nothing which was a bit unsatisfying but outside of that, great game :)

Developer(+1)

Yeah I played and had this issue once, thanks for highlighting it! Also love your game as well !

I did encounter an issue on my first playthrough where only 3 enemies spawned. Nevertheless, I love games that allow you to destroy the environment like this. Could be cool to add a powerup, like an explosion, that allows you to clear more blocks at once. Overall, it's a fun game I like the powerups, especially the clone one.

Developer(+1)

Love the idea for an explosion! Thanks for the comments :) (Will look into that 3 enemy issue)

Interesting take on the jam for sure, it has potential of being a good game later on for sure! I like the duplication idea haha. Tho collecting 100 souls really takes up tooo much of my time.

Developer(+1)

Appreciate it! Yeah I originally had it at 50 souls but feel like 100 fit the story better. Loved your game as well.

Not bad! I always dig the procedurally generated levels, but I'm not here to talk about that.

Because all the time I played your game I got this thought: WHAT IF THE POWERUPS STACKED?

Seriously- some of the games this wouldn't fit at all, but this one? Oh boy! If I could have multiple doppelgangers, or bigger soul multipliers- that would make me take risks! And that's always cool!

Developer

Love the stacking power up ideas, similar idea to a game called Risk of Rain I heavily enjoyed. If I update the game will for sure implement this! Thanks KKCN
