How does your game fit the theme?
After clearing a level, you have to choose between 3 power-ups to continue to the next level. The power-ups are related to being older and older, so they will reduce your possibilities and make you weaker, which is the opposite of the "power-up" usual definition

Interesting twist with power-ups that actually make the game more challengingš!
It was fun to play and the concept of bad power-ups was an enjoyable twist. Controls were good, although you could only attack enemies horizontally. Graphically, it was nice touch that the character changes with the choices you make. The pixel art style was good. I just had to look carefully at how to exit after the end of a level, through a gap I believe... I found the music fit well with the graphical style and character.
All in all, a nice jam entry. Definitely keep it up with future gamesšŖ!
What a magnificent idea! It was truly a great surprise how creatively you approached the theme.
I enjoyed the way we play and our objective. Although thereās a bit of a lack of variety in the challenges, the reverse-effect power-ups do a great job of making each level feel sufficiently different from the last.
I wish the combat had been a bit more dynamic, as the collision with enemies feels a bit large, and sometimes I got stuck on them and couldnāt hit them since we have to align almost perfectly vertically.
Regarding the Time Keeper, I liked the anticipation animation before he throws his head, but I felt there should have been one before he starts shooting in all directions.
Overall, itās a good game with an intriguing and fun concept. Congratulations!
I enjoyed the gameplay, which had an average pace, but the incorporation of three power-ups based on the āstrange power-upā theme was a clever touch! However, I did notice a few issues: the player and enemies couldnāt attack each other unless they were horizontally aligned, which made combat a bit tricky. Also, after defeating an enemy and picking up the power-up, I found a little crack for the exit, but expanding this exit into something like a gate or door would make it clearer for players.
On a positive note, intro was good, the music was fantastic and really suited the game, and the UI was well designed. Overall, it's an engaging experience that just needs a bit of improvement in art quality to enhance the visual appeal!
It was fun playing your game! I liked how the power-ups work in your game. It's great that the sprite in the character changes depending on the chosen thing.
As for the story, it caused me confusion. I don't want to say that it's bad, but in my opinion it's very indirectly related to the game. Because of this, it feels out of place for me.
By the way, it made me smile that our games are similar in the main idea that you deliberately complicate the passage of the level. It was interesting to see how the same idea was done in different ways.
Fun game! Loved the sound and the music, although I found the attack area a bit small.
Nice game! You did a great job with the theme - those power ups were very strange and creative and required making tough choices. It was hard to hit the enemies, and I probably made it harder by choosing the hypertension power!
Very cool game! I loved the powerups both for their theme (very strange, clever, and cute sprites) and also the fact that I had to choose one, and often none of them were good options. I thought I would be able to manage the reversed controls but it was harder than I thought! The intro with the baby is also very cute and made me excited to play the game.
I agree with PBA studios about the hit box being a little small on the y axis. However, I was also able to use this to my advantage to avoid the enemy attacks.
I would love to see other types of enemies and powerups! I enjoyed this a lot :)
Also, the music was exciting!
great job with the theme I think you nailed the "strange" power-ups with the twist of having to choose one after each round, it made for an interesting decision to base your playstyle off of. I really liked the movement feel of the character and the sand and ice tiles were a nice touch too. Music and sound are well done. I liked the intro puzzle piece menu and little cutscene. My biggest criticism was the player attack, the hitbox was so damn hard to hit the enemy with and i think a little cushion in the y-axis would help the feel of this a lot. Also, the art for the player/enemies/environment/etc were fine individually but altogether they weren't very cohesive. I think having all the art in the same style would help here. Overall, I think this is a solid game with smooth movement and some nice world building that fits the theme very nicely. Keep up the good work!
Hello, I was the one who made the art. It was only my second game jam, and my second game. First time I draw some background too. It was a bit hard for me too be consistent with the style. But overall, for the first game where I made all the designs (except somme little things, like the life bar or the damages colors, made by one of our developpers), I'm pretty happy about it. It makes me want to participate in more game jams, and to continue to improve my art :)
I think the individual sprites for the trees, enemies, and player are great! They just clash in style with the background which kinda throws things off a bit. But that's just some constructive criticism I think your trees are lovely and the player and slime enemies have real charm to them! Keep up the good work :)
The power-ups are so funny! I liked the small intro and I really like the music. Instrumentation is very nice. and fitting!
I got a Powerup where the controls where reversed... ahhh... my brain could not handle it.
Nice work!
Funny game I thought I would benefit with the powerups but no all bad why ahhahah. Simple game but dang controls are hard to kill these enemies maybe remove the colliders cause that almost prevented me from winning the game.
Overall simple good game with cool idea!
Definitely one of the funnier submissions here! Also- one of the best ones when it comes to the use of the theme. I loved the "aging-as-powerups"!
Played this one to the end! The "power-ups" were pretty funny and fit the narrative. The time keeper was pretty easy to fight and the power-ups didn't have as much of an impact like they did on normal fights.
Really creative! Nice work.
