I think you should add some visible markers or lane on the ground to indicate when to dodge since it’s extremely difficult to tell just from the animations.

Great job on the art!

The animations in this are pretty cool, I think this has a lot of potential! I will keep an eye out for future updates.

Sadly too hard as offenses coming your way are made very hard to react to by the lack of anticipation. The inputs don’t dodge what they’re supposed to, as the jump dodges everything and the sidesteps don’t dodge anything. Could be SUPER fun with these tweaks and a generally faster pace, the artstyle is wonderful !!

Is it possible to dodge abilities at all? Even when I think I time the super quick attacks I still die :(

Submitted

You can actually dodge all the attacks except the top one by just jumping.
The animation were cool, and I like the moving background.

Nice! The character animation are excellent! I have very bad reaction time however, I could not do much in the game haha.

Great artwork and impressive gameplay mechanic. I found it a bit hard to play.

It reminds me of Everhood in terms of gameplay and art! Did you draw inspiration from it? The presentation is fantastic, and the sprites look great! As others mentioned, the timing is quite challenging, but it's a solid start for a prototype!

Okay alot of feedback that I also have has been mentioned by others. the dodge timings are quite difficult so would be nice to try the game again with a lower difficulty update. The wait time and then sudden attack does make me wish I had better reflex . ðŸ˜‚ I really liked the cartoony animations!

The game has a cool design idea, the sound is very good. The game is difficult and does not have a score like in an arcade.

I like the futuristic aesthetic, but I wasn't able to get farther than a few attacks:

  • The only attacks I was able to dodge were the low attacks
  • It would have been helpful to have some sort of indicator to know what the timing is supposed to be to dodge an attack
  • There was too much wait time between starting a new round and the first attack
  • Attacks don't seem to match the music

If you fix the gameplay issues and lean into the futuristic aesthetic, I'm sure this could be fun.

Nice neon rhythm game! Dodging a little non-obvious, passed everything on jumping.

I was not able to dodge any enemy attacks, even when I think I timed it perfectly and died every time the enemy fired. I am not sure how to play the game. Spacebar is supposed to shoot, but nothing happens when I press it. No idea what rhythm am I supposed to play into either. Dunno what the bar on the right does. Not sure if the game is working as intended at all. Shame, I like a good rhythm game.

Maybe try to explain better how to play the game. Screenshots with the gameloop explained step by step should do, but a gif or a video would be even better. Music is alright. Art style is ok. It just didn't seem to work?

the game is cool, the quality is good also. He made me remember the final boss of Deltarune. But.. he missed on something. The music is so down and doesn't follow the beat. My favorite writing game is Riding Heaven Fever and one thing that make me be bigger and very good on that game is 'cause they give signals when they want to attack. So if your game have also signals when your enemy will attack, of course we will be. Good, I finished the game without the signals, but I think that with the signals will be better. I love the quality and the RGB effects. Good luck bro!
