Very interesting, but I didn't quite understand the "One shot" concept in the gameplay.

There was a moment where enemies were coming towards you, but the camera was still adjusting, which made it very difficult to aim and caused many enemies to pile up in front of me.

I liked it because it reminded me of those huge arcades you're in. I also really liked the "safari" concept, where you travel through the forest, always playing in a different environment. Labs, HQs and places like that could be added. That would be really interesting.

The only way to get a final score on the campaign leaderboard is to beat the game in one shot, and to kill the final boss (T-Rex) you have to literally make one final well placed shot or you lose.

We had a more interesting idea for the theme involving some narrative concepts and branching paths but we didn’t have time for that

I couldnt play it more than a moment because my laptop sucks and I dont have a gun or even a mouse, trackpad made this hard, but I saw the playthrough so I rated higher anyways. I just dont see how One Shot came into it, but other than that, great little especially for a short jam! Could see playing this on the Nintendo Wii

I FUCKING LOVE DINOSAURS YIPPIEEEEEEEE

For some reason my pc doesn't run the game 😩

But by the quality of the images, I like the concept, the originality and the idea of the game.

GOOD LUCK!

Solid entry for a jam. Looks like a lot of work was put into it and I like the attention to detail. My computer did not like it too much so it kept freezing, but I won't downvote for that :D.

This game is like if you mix a 5D movie with an arcade style shooter.
I really like it.
Unfortunately for me, it was lagging a lot and kept getting stuck after a certain point.
Would be better as an downloadable version.
Very unique type of game, it's a fun play.

The first level worked nicely with me but in the second one I hit a bug and the dinos kept spawning.

A really daring move to try that much of 3D content in a webGl game but it worked well, was very fun trying to kill those ninja dinos.

You didn't lie, it did remind me of hose of the dead but the dead were more clumsy than your dinos :D

Looks really cool, but unfortunately my framerate was too low to be playable :(

The idea is really cool and gave me great nostalgia for the old arcades where we used a gun to shoot enemies that appeared on the screen. But unfortunately it got stuck on my computer.

This is really cool and really gives me arcade vibe through the graphism ! Nice job !

First impressions by seeing screenshots only: JURASSIC PARK GAME WOOHOO!

Definitely heavily inspired by Arcade machines, always love to see that kind of game setups :D It is a tad bit difficult since the dino's are god damn usain bolt's 😂 A risky choice with such big environment on webGL but it works so good job on that 👏, I liked the jungle ride tbh, A bit of lag here & there but nothing that hinders the game experience, Congrats on the submission!

good idea. the game was laggy for me so it wasnt the best experience for me. i can't say whether i like it or not ,but i imagine that without that lag the gameplay would be fine

Yeah we made a dumb decision of putting the laggiest and least web-optimized level at the start of the game. That first level is pretty much what we submitted to Ludum Dare but we didn’t release or test it for the web.

Towards the end of this jam we decided to throw it in just to round out the game with three levels but it was sort of a gamble as to how it would work in the web build. When we uploaded the final build we only had a few minutes left and didn’t have time to play through the game on different hardware and reupload a more optimized build.

What an epic adventure! The camera movement is sometimes a bit weird but it gives very immersive and fast-paced combat! The music matches very well too. Nice game!

Your game reminded me of old games, good game!

When I saw the title screen shot, I was hoping this was going to be like the old Jurassic Park arcade cabinet game. This game did not disappoint. It was exactly what I was hoping for, complete with the critical shot highlight points, coin game continues, and reloading at all of the times that the enemies are just about to attack lol.

Super solid game. I enjoyed this a ton.

Glad you enjoyed it!

The plan to make a light gun style shooter was a last minute decision while planning for Ludum Dare. After releasing the first version for LD we got inspired to keep working on it and this jam was a good excuse to do just that. We actually bought modern PC light guns for testing but they didn’t arrive in time for either jam lol.

This type of game was very difficult to make from a technical art standpoint but thankfully it helped us learn a bunch of ways how NOT to do things. We’re a lot more confident now and have plans to keep working on this in the near future

Def reminded me of some old school Jurassic Park arcade games and I really loved the nostalgia of it.

Given the time we had it performs surprisingly well.

My only criticism would be it seems a little bit of a stretch for the "one shot" theme since we are continually shooting throughout, but I really enjoyed your game!

Great work!

We had a bunch of ideas for the one shot element of the game, but limiting the players shooting wouldn’t have worked with the gameplay, even if it was just for some power up like an rpg or something.

We decided it would be best to have a narrative/gameplay element where you need to play through the campaign in a certain way, completing missable objectives in each mission to unlock the good ending i.e. you have one shot to complete the final objective, if you mess up an objective you’re locked out of the good ending/final objective.

Since this was a Ludum Dare game we made every single asset from scratch and ran out of time to implement this system (especially trying to get a working web build) so we decided to just make it so that the final boss has a one shot sequence you need to pull off to win

First I think I need to drive and shoot, will be fun too. A bit unfinished, but Jurassic safari sounds cool.
