from that epic intro I was expecting some grand open world AAA rpg but was surprised by the simple color matching gameplay lol.

I like the simplicity but I think you could add a lot of elements to improve the gameplay. Like maybe add more enemies and give the player extra points for quickly killing them. Maybe if the player takes too long the enemy attacks.

Ahahahahah sorry to disappoint and thank you for your feedback, those are actually pretty nice suggestions. We did work on an update that we are gonna release today. It's not gonna be a giant game, just some polish and brought it to the level that we would have liked to meet for jam release  :( but yeah jams are all about what you can do in a little frame of time so hopefully this is all lesson learnt for the next one!

The art of the game is very beautiful. I found the concept of this game to be very unique for this jam. Very good!

Banger intro sequence with voice acting, amazing.

Unfortunately as you may have read we were not able to implement the latest fixes and the web version lacks the correct enemies and animations, and other things. I'm glad that you had fun anyway, thanks again!! ;)

Great game! The art style is simple and good. My only suggestions is the intro should play once from the start and whenever you replay the game in story mode, it directly jumps to the gameplay.

Hi, thanks a lot for the compliments! Yes unfortunately in the web build we had small problems and we were not able to introduce the last things. We already have a version that has several new features, including the one of the intro not present when you restart. We will upload it after the jam. I got an error and am unable to play unfortunately (error is "Couldn't load project data at path '. Is the .pck file missing?")

EDIT: I managed to get it working.

This was fun!

I think it would have worked better as a rhythm game, because the music was great, and I found myself pressing the keys in sync with the music naturally!

Really loved the animations, intro, and story. Too bad about the web export issues... Got to #2 in the scoreboard after dying in the boss battle. Could see this being fleshed out a little bit in the future and being a pretty solid game. Great work!!

My best score is 8300! Am I the only one who skips checking the current color and focuses on the next one to memorize the sequence?
It's definitely a different kind of game from the others. I really appreciate the effort you put into the story, and the gameplay is simple but quickly gets addictive as you chase a higher score. Great game!

I really appreciate your comment, thank you! Your way of playing is the most efficient! As you may have read in other comments, unfortunately the web build had problems with enemies, animations and hyplay login, also the tutorial screen does not give all the explanations... I appreciate that you had fun anyway. In the version we uploaded: there are score bonuses the more sequences in a row you can do in a second; in the story mode to reach the boss you will have to do at least 5,000 points and after defeating the boss (75 tiles in 30 seconds, the boss pattern is always the same) the final cutscene appears! Thanks again for your precious comment!! :)

Okay, this was a breath of fresh air, its simple yet addictive! I got 2nd place on the leaderboard 😎 I really really like really like the artwork, the boss battle animation screen yowza that was cool! It almost feels like a rhythm game! I'm aware that you've mentioned you had issues, my only thing was i wasn't able to log into my hyplay account - both gets played as guest! Would have loved to see my name on the leaderboard! Great entry, well done 👏

And keep in mind that this version unfortunately had some problems, all enemies are missing, animations and much more (and yes there is also the problem with hyply). I liked the gameplay, but I would skip the intro everytime that I died.

Interesting concept of guitar hero type gameplay - loved your little story telling intro hah.

Shame you had issues, I was getting into the groove of going through the portals pretty fast!

It seemed like maybe there was more supposed to happen with Pliko and the Rock Monster while you are playing well. I would look at adding a combo system that launches little attacks or something (maybe this is what the issues were?) Still a fun little game nonetheless, well done!
