  • Whoa, this was a really gripping experience. I love the non-euclidian take on "one room", and the bare-bones interaction you have with the space. The lack of control definitely adds to the tension. I will say, I would have liked for that tension to resolve in a way that was more coherent, as the game never really establishes what's happening or leaves you with anything to think about. A thread of story would have been really effective here, even just some world-building that allowed the player to infer a story. Everything else was top-notch. Thanks for the game! - Adam

I saw the postmortem for this and had to see the actual game.

Great job on building a creepy atmosphere! I especially love how you manage to create a horror without jump-scares.

No need to explain anything, your game is fantastic. Just the room is not the room.

You got it

AMAZING! Very terrifying! I personally prefer more game-like games, but this definitely blew it out of the water considering this isn't my favorite genre. Not sure if it exactly fits the theme, but amazing game!

Terrifying. Just terrifying.

Amazing work for a jam timeframe, fantastic idea, I was spooked the whole time just from the sound. 5* from me.

wow thats really impressive work and creative take on the theme, great job really!

One of the best jam submissions, I think. I really loved the sound and graphical aspects of the game. I loved how the game integrates the player into itself. Good job! You can feel free to check out my game, any kind of feedback will be very appreciated!

I really loved this game, honestly. Short and sweet.

Hey fellow horror maker! I love your game, the music is definitely the best part of it, it sells the atmosphere really well. I liked the aesthetic too and the cursor fits well despite not being needed. I was creeped out, but never scared. The monster or whatever it is looks more weird/funny than scary. I appreciated the verticality too. Strictly speaking this is more than one room but it's really great regardless!

Is this is unity? How did you fade the camera view far away like that? Also checkout my game if you will, I'll remember to rate yours when they fix the rating system.

Developer

What makes you think you ever left the room o.o

The view fading is just linear fog ^^ available in the lighting settings.

FYI, I added the cursor because lack of fixed center point can cause motion sickness for certain peoples.

Oh. OH.
Thanks for sharing your knowledge, I'll definitely use the fog in my next horror :P also, good to know about the cursor!

Pretty cool, short game. Pretty brain melting and somewhat has a scary atmosphere. Very interesting and creative take on the theme. It's really well done!

Submitted(+1)

Wooow you just like to mess with people brain don't you !
Was actually really fun to play !
The music is really oppressing ! You did a great job with the image also !

The nice thing, man. It is really cool as a concept or demo for a big project. There are many interesting "levels" you can create using "do not look" mechanics. Sound and simple visual effects are super useful in creating the atmosphere.

Lagged a bit on the web version. And the mouse seems too sensetive.

The expression of the jam's theme is brilliant. 10/10.

Really nice. Good job.

Developer

Thanks ! If anyone comes accross this mouse sensitivity issue, you can tune it with the O & P keys.

Very short and simple. Great take on the theme. As far as walking simulators go I found this to be very snappy and responsive to play and I was certainly very immersed. As far as sound design is concerned, it's pretty fantastic mixing IMO. The ambient track sounds great and the footsteps aren't too invasive, but I felt the doctor/ jailer/ warden/ person /(you? lol) talking was muffled and only comes in mono in the left ear regardless of where you are in the room, but that might be by design ;). The "boss" is very spoopy whose design seems to fit something that can make a non-euclidean game happen, but I went and played the game twice because I wanted to see what happens if he catches you and nothing happens!! Infinite disappointment. Regardless, fantastic entry.

Developer

Thank you so much for the detailed feedback !
Yeah ran out of time to make a proper death condition, and that muffled voice might actually be mono lol, my bad x)
