honestly, I expected this to be far easier than it turned out to be. Nailed all three categories, great job! Also where did you get the music from?
The main theme is Spies And Lies by Joel Steudler, and the map screen is Mystical Loop #1 by Andrey Sitkov :)
I acquired these through Humble Bundle bundles over the past few years
joelsteudlermusic.com (the albums changed, so I don't have a link to Spy Action which the theme was part of)

Really cool take on the theme! Map 2 took me by surprise when I realized that it wasn't necessarily important to remember all the red locations as it would only ask about specific zones. That really helps the idea as it is a lot harder to remember that location with respect to its surroundings when the square the game presents may be very different. Overall very clever take and I enjoyed this quite a bit.
every time wo try to load the game in the web url, my chrome went broken.
Hi! Unfortunately, there seems to be a problem running the game on Mac computers. I don't have a Mac to test on, so I wasn't able to catch that issue before the deadline.
If you're on a Mac, I'll be uploading a Mac-specific version after the judging period ends. Apologies for that! If you're on Windows, I believe all Chrome, Edge, and Firefox should work.
Very good memory game. I like the game explanation before game very much. Nice and polished. Very good job.
Thank you!
I've seen some comments reporting a bug where the map you have to mark the houses on did not match the map you flew around over in the plane. I haven't been able to reproduce this after a few dozen maps. If anyone can provide screenshots/video of this bug, I'd appreciate it!
Is it possible you'll get a map where no houses need to be marked. In that case, you just hit Submit on the empty map!
And if you pass 4 levels, the next set of 4 will be a larger map, so make sure you explore all of it!
game broke
Hi! If you were trying to play on a Mac, the game might not work for you. I'll be uploading a Mac downloadable version after the jam judging period ends.
Otherwise, if you have any details on what broke, I'd love to hear them so I can look into fixing it!
Neat idea for a memory game.
Very polished visually. Ticks the Theme box very nicely.
I unfortunately had a (bug?) where the map to place icons on did not match the one I was shown though.
Overall, cool submission that needs some bug-fixing. Good job!
This is a fun concept. Giving the player only a snapshot of the match when it comes time to remember where the buildings are definitely makes it more challenging!
very polished game, the menus looked and functioned nicely. I also enjoyed the gameplay.
Cool concept. I had some moaps that did not seem to match up with my level, they sort of implied I should move the map but I could not work out how to do it. With some extra spice this could be a really cool game. Lots of potential
Hey really fun idea, and it seems pretty well executed too. In one instance I think I got the wrong map and could not place correctly the fortifications tiles, but other than that, that's great !
Cool idea, fun to zoom around! Neatly presented too
Simple but very interesting game, the gameplay is easy and i wish it has some of skip time so that i dont have to wait since i already memorize the houses. Anyways, it was a great game!
A skip-to-the-next-phase button is a good idea! In hindsight, that would've been useful when testing too :)
Wow, this is really excellent! At first I got a bit confused because I thought that at the house-guessing phase, I could move around, but reading some comments here made it clear that I just needed to place houses if they exist in the snapshot. This is a really fun memory game that definitely tested my ability to memorize the house locations!
I do think a tutorial explaining the process would be helpful. Though full disclosure, I am on Mac and you mentioned this doesn't run great in web on Mac; I could still play it after waiting for it to load, and still had a really fun time, but the initial instructions may have been obscured for me, so that might be why I got confused at first.
Either way, this is an excellent entry, well done!
Interesting game!!!
Interesting game! The retro art style is charming. Did you use wave function collapse to generate the map?
Nope, just translated a noise texture to a tilemap! I do use the dual grid approach to simplify it which means I only needed 16 tiles for all of the land/water :)
Great game!
Fun to see someone with the same idea, but different execution!
Nice idea, but I didn't know what to do.
Fun little puzzle game. Took me a while to understand that you can't pan around the map after a mission and that the area can be empty of enemy structures.
Really fun to play and try again and again :D
at first, I didn't know what to do, I just kept pressing space >.<
and then I waited the timer to finish and understood what i should do :3
might need a lil tutorial that says to wait the timer to finish :o
overall, great game !
