What a fun little game. Love the fact that the charater is the connector so it can't move when the power is on, which allows for interesting puzzles. I think this game could me developed into something bigger and tell a touching story. :)

Developer(+1)

Thank you!
I definitely want to add more story at some point.

I like the old look given by the black and white and the pixel art just make it even better. Challenging puzzles are also welcome! Good job!

Developer

Thanks very much :D

Lmao ! Wasn't expecting him to plug is face !!! That's hillarious !
The art & animation are absolutly lovely !

little feedback. some platform are not very obvious? maybe ouline them diferently so we know right away what we can / should jump onto.

Appart from that gorgeous entry.

Hope you do more of that !

Developer(+1)

Your feedback is invaluable!
And, I agree, platforming sections could be made a lot clearer. The level design is something I want to work more on.

Artstyle is simple but good.

Awesome game! Very well executed and a great concept :D I do wish it had a menu/way to reset the game more easily, but I would gladly play a much longer version of this :) Hope you make more!

Developer

I never ever want to take a player out of the game to refresh the page. Sorry about that!
UI was totally skimped on this time due to lack of planning. It's definitely something I want to practice assembling so I can implement it quickly in the future.

Thanks for your feedback!

What a clever and well-executed idea! Brilliant! Great entry! A bgm would have been the cherry on top, but the other sounds were crisp and perfect!

Developer

Thanks! I'll for sure put music on my after-jam to-do list.

Lovely! One of the best i've played so far, great ending!

Loved this game! fells like a game boy game, the dyanic camera is very cool, the sounds and theme of the game is great. The fact that have different endings is the thing that elevate this for me.

Developer

The different endings for were a must from day one on this project. I'm glad you liked them :)

I was like wow the graphics and animations are so cute... until he stabs his eyes into the plug. X.X  I actually cringed.

Fun game though!  It's a tad on the slow side.

Developer

That animation is admittedly a little brutal :)
I agree, the slow pace is something to tweak. Animations and level spacing are probably the top candidates for adjustment.
Thanks for your feedback!

That was really fun. when Benson plugged his tail in the first time I said"aww Benson" but when he plugged his face in the first time I sad "AAAHHH BENSON!"

This is really lovely. Was a bit confused at first, but that gave the game a very "I want to explore this" feeling, which was really nice. The minimalistic art is very cute, and oh does it pack a punch in the end.

Tiny sidenote: The connect/disconnect animation is a bit slow and could be sped up.

Overall a really fun experience, well done.

This game is awesome, I love it. It does such a good job of integrating the theme and the character into one mechanic that doesn't feel forced or anything. The puzzles are fun and interesting. If this were a full release with more puzzles to do, I would absolutely love to play it.

I'm in love with this one.

Hey I'm the developer of  https://itch.io/jam/lost-relic-games-1/rate/1580606
This was very enjoyable !  It took the theme in a very literal way haha !

Simple puzzles but very well put together ! Also a story at the end to boot!

What I Like

  • The simplicity of the game idea
  • Well executed animations. I found out I could cancel out of a plugin.
  • Well put together puzzles

What could be better

  • I think the background could have more variations and stands out less than the foreground
  • I also think it would be nice if there were colours on places that light up when you plug yourself in. Probably have to use some sort of masking to achieve that.

Overall, I love it. good job !

Developer

I'm glad my animation reversion was noticed!
As for the visuals, I was limiting myself to 4 shades for the sake of time. However, I totally agree that everything could be made much clearer with colors and separation between foreground/background.

Thank you for the awesome feedback!

Brilliant!

I got stuck on the traffic light thing on my first attempt, but then I figured it out.

Submitted(+1)

This was a lot of fun! But I also got softlocked in the crane. Saddly in a short game jam this kind of things happen; mine has a frame rate issue that makes everything move really slow hahaha But still your core idea is really cool and the character gave it a lot of personality!

Submitted(+1)

Awesome game! The ending is really cute, great job! :D

The plug in, plug out sounds were so satisfying. I also loved the zap in the ending. very nice cute little puzzle.

Minimalism done well! Love the polish and the multiple endings are cool. At first I thought that no music was a bummer, but it actually helps with building atmosphere and makes the sound effects more impactful.

Developer

Phew, that's what I was banking on :3
I'm glad you had a good time!

Submitted(+1)

Oups I did managed to get stuck betweeb the wheeled generator on the crane and a wall but the game is realy beautifull and the sound design solid ! Nice game overhall !

Developer

Thank you!
That bug is definitely the first thing I'll fix after this jam!
