Interesting game! I included it in my Love Jam compilation video series, if you’d like to take a look. :)

Oh thank you so much, I really appreciate it

Great game! The music is pretty good as well. I just wish it had a way of restarting it i had to reload the page at the end to play it again.

That was fun to play even though I suck at these type of games. Well, I can just spam all the buttons to get score XD.

WOW I’m so bad at Rhythm games haha. This is very very very well done! There are some small timing issues (this are a common problem in LÖVE Audio so not your fault) but otherwise the mechanic is really good. As people mentioned a penalization would work best (I did horrible and I deserve to be told that)

The music is really good, though the sound when you press the keys could be improved.

Graphics are very clear and simple, not much to say, nothing too crazy going on but it works really well.

Thanks for participating! I’m glad we have ths rhythm game in the Jam

i love rhythm games, oh god this was great

This was fun! I Enjoyed hitting the notes! I couldn't figure out how to efficiently hit all 6 buttons, and there was no penalty for missing.

Submitted(+1)

Nice job - there needs to be a penalty for playing notes at the wrong point, or you can smash the keyboard like I did and "win".

Regardless, I love the fact that you did this to your own song, and wish there were a few more songs, some that are easier!

Developer(+1)

Hi, josefnpat! Adding the penalty for the wrong notes was going to be our next step, but we ran out of time D:
Thanks for your feedback!

As someone with a QWERTZ keyboard it is quite annoying to play. Game looks good, although sometimes there is text which you cannot read very well.

I found that pressing every key as fast as possible was a quite simple way to get a high score ;)

Developer(+1)

Thank you so much for the valuable feedbacks, and I'm sorry for the QWERTY thing. We haven't thought about this problem properly and forgot there're people with different keyboard layout :)

HostSubmitted (1 edit)

This is an easy fix though, instead of love.keyboard.isDown use love.keyboard.isScancodeDown, and instead of using the first argument of love.keypressed/keyreleased use the second argument (the first is key, the second is scancode)

Docs for you:

Thank you so much! I thought I have to add a customize keyboard menu for players with different keyboard layouts. Thanks so much for saving me time. ':)

Here to help! It’s all part of the learning experience haha

Wow, that was really cool to see someone else made a rhythm game too! I really liked it and thought it looked quite polished! Hope you'll check out our game too :3

Developer(+1)

Thanks for the compliment, and of course I have to check out your game too :)

Developer

Glad you like it! I will play your game now and give my feedback.

Looks great and plays great, with nice music. Only thing that bothers me is that the hit sound is not entirely synced with the audio, so it makes me want to hit earlier than I should.

Developer(+1)

Yeah, Audio syncing in rhythm games is kinda hard (at least for me) to get perfectly right. Thanks for the feedback!

Developer

Thanks for the compliments! Yeah, I agree with you... unfortunately time ran out before we could perfect it :\

Score: 3030! :D God damn it's been so long since I last played a rhythm game. Nice work! Solid execution and very aesthetically pleasing.

Developer(+2)

Thank you for your kind words :D
