This was stunning! I appreciated all the work you put into presentation, such as the intro/ending, and that fantastic upgrade effect. This is such a cool concept—I love the way that the hops eventually start to feel like actual flight, it's genius! And I have so much respect for compelling games with non-violent themes. You nailed it!
Thank you very much I'm glad if you liked it that makes me happy
I wish there was either a dash or run to traverse faster when you get lost and backtrack. Otherwise, I'm in love, the world is alive, yet peaceful. I love spamming flying; I hate when that is limited. You explored it in level design, and the music is the best part, 3-4 variations of an ambient-theme, that's so much. Very immersive... Congrats! Amazing game.
woo thanks a lot you’re so nice
This game was so much fun to play! It was very satisfying to just explore the map, collect feathers, and upgrade my jumps. I even played it twice in a row to collect every feather (I found 19 on my first run LOL). It was also creative to start out with zero jumps! All-around great game!
thanks a lot … so cool to read your comment
Super cute little game with great artwork! I would have loved to have seen enemies, but it was enjoyable to play!
oh no it’s peaceful!!!
This is a nice peaceful platformer focused on exploration. The level design & visuals are really well done. Its was pretty easy to navigate since most areas looked unique. This was especially true since you included an unlockable radar to help collect the final feathers. Good job!
ooooooh thank you, no one tells me about the radar... I think it's badly placed... I had a hard time choosing where to put it, because I didn't want the players to focus on it... a bit like when you look at the mini map on a metroidvania... but I said to myself I still have to give something to the player who is struggling too much to find the last feathers.... and if i put the radar before the players find the mother, they think it's the radar that indicates the mother..... aaaaarrrrgh I don't know what to do with this radar.....
I didn't have much trouble getting through the game. My playtime was under 10 mins, but I kinda used to Metroidvania style level design. I can see how some players would get lost. It was clear that I had to return to the spot where I obtained the radar, but I assumed that was the case since there wasn't many other options. Perhaps which area is the end area could be communicated better somehow.
you're suggesting there should be multiple accesses to the final area? Once i finished the game...i thought i should have changed the order of the areas --> always start at the bottom, then fall into the house with the mom and the compass and then have access to the area in the trees
Nice game, very cute graphics and very cute story.
Music gets a bit repetitive after a bit, and the sfx for getting a feather is a bit annoying.
I feel it needs a map, is easy to get lost.
I like the idea about the feathers as powerups.
Good job!
Thanks for your comment, i agree that the sfx for getting a feather is a bit invasive....
Regarding the map, I put one in but as a pdf download because I didn't want people to have their noses on it while playing... but I can understand that it might be a bit of a failure if you get lost and it's annoying.
Always nice to see other PICO-8 games and this was a nice one as well! Map feels well directed, altough the last darkness based area wasn’t my favorite.
Other than that everything was really nice, graphics were on point, sfx were neat, map deisign well made! Nice one!
Merci Achie ! You're the best !
Loved the level design. I felt that it really moved the game forward well with out hindering the player by getting to lost.
thanks ! so glad it's noticed
It's really cute! I loved the flight mechanic, really satisfying))) Great job!
thanks a lot
This is a really cute game! Both visually and in its concept. It's not often you see a game with a no violence. It's refreshing
yeah i want to test with no fight, no game over just a trip and exploration, thanks to you
