How does your game fit the theme "Unconventional Means"?
A dungeon crawler! But, it's dark and you can't fight. Thankfully you have mirrors and an eye for mushrooms.

Man, there is so much I love about this game. First of all, the art is gorgeous. And I love the music. It's mysterious and enticing. And I love exploring a dark cavern and lighting it up by redirecting the light with your mirrors. And I also love how you have to shine the light on the mushrooms for them to grow. It creates this dynamic where you have to decide whether to grow a mushroom, or light up more of the cave. And the game does a great job of explaining how the mirrors and light work. And then theres all the people who come to your restaurant. I loved seeing all of their characteristics, and it felt so good when, after several rounds of disappointing them, I finally prepared enough mushrooms to satisfy everybody. I love how after you're done serving food, the game gives you little hints telling you what you need to do if you failed. And I love that the game keeps all of your lighting after the restaurant portion, so you can progress and find more and more mushrooms. And finally making it to the surface and starting a new restaurant felt so good. Thank you for making this game.
❄ very cute
Nice job! Really liked the music and the style!
Good idea! Amazing art, great audio. I felt like I have not enough time to harvest mushrooms but other than that amazing game. Good job!
i loved this game and played it until i got a end, and a nice apple. This was amazing, great work!
What a cool idea for a game! -love it!! The art is beautiful too!!! Really liked the chill vibe too -excellent work!! :D
An extremely interesting idea for a game. I love how you managed to make the light level a central mechanic. The dialogue is fun, and the music sounds good. Only problem I have is that the main gameplay is a bit cluttered with all the extra characters
Interesting concept, very unique game!
I got that DS reference "Don't give up, skeleton!"
I love this game so much, it's absolutely gorgeous!! The art is so cute, I really love it too much, the big monster with the blue eye and orange hat is my favorite!
It did take me a few tries to figure out what I was supposed to do in the game, but that's partially on me! I kept trying to put the mirrors right above the mushrooms thinking they'd grow faster. Also, I kept falling off of every platform I tried to climb on with the jump, which was a bit annoying. I really love the whole thing with the mirrors though, it's so creative!! This was really fun! And gosh I love the characters, I'm repeating myself here but the monster designs are so good!!
I absolutely love the game and the characters too much!
Really Awesome, great concept, great art, definetly one of my favorites of this jam! I would only have loved the jump to be also mapped to space, but other than that, amazing game!
Awesome game! great idea and execution!
Great game! I love the graphics, and the game mechanic with using the mirrors to spread light as needed is really neat and innovative. Overall I'd say this was a fun game. I think my only issue was that it wasn't clear to me until after a couple rounds of customers coming to me to find me without food that I had to find a certain amount of mushrooms before food could be served (I didn't notice that the partial mushroom in the corner was progress stat.) Other than that though, I liked this game. Well done!
Graphic is cute. Movement aren't great and the Mushroom harvesting is not satisfying enough (too slow lighting and only 1 source of light. I like the serving-customer screen
The Graphics are really good and the character design is really cute
great job! really well polished with the lighting effects and art looks great! My only issue was it was kinda hard to figure out how to play at first. But once I got into it, it was pretty fun! Tried to reach the surface, but couldn't find the right path. Good job!
I'd appreciate if you could play/rate my game as well! :)
The graphics are beautiful,
nice job!
Loved It! Original and fun, however the mirror thing was confusing so if there was something that said it reflected light that would be great! Otherwise its amazing!
Mechanics and lights are great! Some pointers to where I should go would be nice.
The art design / menus / and dialogue system are fantastic, but I have some issues with the game’s overall design.
Its not clear where I’m supposed to go and what I’m ultimately trying to do. I think it would be beneficial for you to update the itch page with a better description of what is going on as the game has little explanation.
There seems to be a lack of focus in fitting together your different game systems. (this might tie into the lack of clarity mentioned above). What is the point of the “restaurant” and seeing these amazingly designed characters talk to you. Its endearing but not engaging.
The player controller is too floaty and doesn’t feel fun to use. This is pretty simple to solve so its not too much of a detractor from the overall experience.
The shear amount of enemies flooding the environment is a bit much.
I really like what’s here and hopefully my critiques don’t come across too harshly as I think there is something fun to be had here. Overall nice job!
I really appreciate the feedback!
The goal is to get to the surface- and you're right that it's not clear what to do, or how the systems interact, I added some text to the description to hopefully clear that up a bit. Basically feed the characters and there's less fighting, so you have a easier time getting to the top.
So feeding the characters -> reduces conflict , which makes ascent to the surface easier . I think I left a blurb about this during transitions but those can be totally missed, heh
Ah this clears everything up tbh. With this in mind Im gonna replay it and re-rate it to reflect my current understanding. I like the idea a lot, its clear a lot of talent and passion went into making this!
beautifull art, creative game, me and my sister loved it
