Looks nice but is barely playable. Ship got into an axis lock or something both times I tried it.

Congratulations on being the only game this year that won two categories Originality and Visuals! Well done!

thanks! I'm really grateful to everyone who played and rated the game. Gives me lots of motivation to keep working on my craft! This jam was such a great time.

You kinda went all out for a Gamejam project of all things. I can see this becoming a full-fledged game if you put your mind to it.

This is amazing, I'm really impressed just make sure you have transformed any images you use enough to avoid copyright issues. The way it was put together felt really good for me, loved the music and the feel of shooting, the moment took me back to wingcommander IV. I had no bugs except at the end it froze after the mission hanger, this might be by design but I wasn't sure if that was the end of it froze. I can totally see this as an AR game, where you point at the cover of a magazine and then play a small game (different one each issue). Hit me up if you have any interest in doing something with AR and are looking to collab!

Loved the visuals and sound design! Great entry!

Oh my word I loved this so much!! You captured that old school comic style perfectly, with the intro AND the gameplay. Absolutely fantastic work on this!! I loved the visual style , presentation and fantastic theme song .

The only thing I could suggest going forward is maybe it would feel better if the game used the mouse as its main controls. i.e pitching and moving left and right with the mouse movement and firing with the mouse buttons.

Great job!

+1 on the request for mouse controls! Great game

Awesome visualls and interesting style overall. The shooting could have been mapped to then mouse clicking cause space bar feels a bit odd. Not sure if the game bugged out or if the game ended once I reached the space station cause the song was playing but nothing else was happening and none of my controls were responding.
Still, impressive work and aesthetics.

The originality for the design and the overall aesthetics of these ooze in awesomeness, I was so pleased with the marvel comic style design, I own myself a lot of those comics and this made me smile from ear to ear specially with the captain planet style autro at the end.

The cockpit and the art direction for the in game props were also very fun and entertaining to see!

Is true the mechanics were a bit clunky but for the time you had to make it I am very impressed!

Overall a very interesting concept that taken further would be amazing!

Two words : Mind Blown :o

The art is amazing, especially with how authentically oldschool comic book it looks ! That alone is impressive but then you kept it like that… During gameplay ? Just wow, you could add Wizardry to your optional themes cause that’s what this game is especially since you mention you made a custom webgl player to run it O_o

Plus as a big spaceship nerd, the fact that the gameplay is a spaceshooter from the cockpit view was just perfect !

Also absolutely loved the themesong at the end, even if it’s cheesy i don’t care it rocks \m/ è-é

Great job :)

This is amazing!! I love the classic 60's style comic book aesthetic, and I feel like it complements the gameplay and storytelling so well! I'd be absolutely hyped to see this as a full game someday. So to answer your question: yes, you're definitely headed in the right direction for this game. Great job!

Super impressive visually, fantastic sound too! Really good job!

Of all the submissions I've played this has by far the most impressive visuals. The concept reminds me of Comix Zone, a game which I loved.

You clearly demonstrated skills, passion and talent. I hope to see this developed in a full release at some point.

This is absolutely incredible. The art is fantastic, the presentation is off the charts, and the game itself is satisfying and fun!! Even the music is amazing (I know you used free music, but the lyrics you had recorded on top of it are just perfect and awesome). I love everything about this project. I would be impressed even if it was 5 people working on this. The fact that you dev'd this solo blows my mind. Well done!!!!

Wow, I'm completely blown away by this game! The captivating start, reminiscent of a thrilling comic book, drew me in instantly. The attention to detail in the graphics and the user-friendly itch page make for a delightful experience. While the game is enjoyable, I can see some potential for even more greatness. Nevertheless, fantastic job overall!

awesome! very original and polished take! If its only as brief as the end of part 1 it was quiet short. there's a possibility of totally loosing your way and then you have to restart the w and s movement could be more accurate as its hard to aim just with that. you should definitely continue building this.
