I like your game! The graphics look nice, the music is simple but pleasing, I like the ability to choose different types of weapons from the start, and the gameplay is fun and easy to pick up. Great job!

Fun little shooter reminiscient of the classics, very simple to pick up and play. You can mix and match weapons, I'm fond of the Gatling. I would like to see more variety in the visuals of the player's shots based on their weapon.

The enemy designs were pretty unique and interesting especially the bosses

Also enjoyed how easy and simple it was to understand and get into the groove of the game

The only minor issue I had was with weapons as the cannon and plasma felt underpowered compared to weapons like the pistol and gatling.

Overall an enjoyable throwback to early arcade shoot em up games like space invaders

Simple yet incredibly addictive.  I kept playing and playing and didn't even notice for some time that it was looping haha. The visuals are great, and so was the choice for the music.

My favourite weapon was the plasma, but I was also a fan of the gatling.

Nice game! Loved the mechanics, very engaging/addictive. I liked that some enemies speed up randomly and force you to adapt quickly

Nice minimal pixel art game. the visuals and the sfx were well utilized and overall the game is very clean. I love the intro slates and the idea of using a cartridge. I'm a sucker for that nostalgia. And on that note I liked the galaga/space invader vibes too. The menus were very clean as well. My favorite thing was that you immediately gave the player the freedom to have a right and left arm load out selection  (something I wanted for our game but couldn't implement with our time constraints)! I found myself running into enemies to die just to try them all out haha.

I think that also brings me to my biggest critique too: the weapons didn't feel different enough and there were was a very clear meta. Gatling all the way. The plasma and cannon felt pretty much exactly the same but I was expecting the shots to at least go through multiple enemies. The shot gun had no spread so felt pretty similar to the rifle.

All in  all pretty cool and didn't come across any bugs or anything like that which is something to be proud of in a jam for sure! I could see this being a minigame inside another game. Nice stuff here!

Simple arcade game, a classic shoot em up space invaders, I loved playing with the different gun types and seeing what worked best!

Fun game! The sound was a bit too loud (dunno if that's a Pico8 thing), but everything else was very cool. The visuals are bright and interesting and I love the detail on the Mech's legs where they move in relation to how fast you move the cursor. Good sound design as well, it's got some weight to it.

Really fun galaxian style game. Had a lot of fun playing it and testing all the weapons. Highest score was 216k. What language is this in? I'd love to see this be expanded with upgrades, more weapons, different levels, etc.

Initially, I thought the game might be overly simple since the shooting was automatic, but the unique rhythm of the shots of each weapon ended up giving the gameplay a lot of depth around timing and positioning. It really grew on me as I continued playing! The simple Pico-8 aesthetic made it easy on the eyes as well!

Simple concept but with really solid execution.  The idea of being able to customize your loadout for different left/right weapons is a smart twist on this kind of game, and created a fair bit of replay value.  I found myself playing several runs in a row to try different builds out - I am partial to the dual gattling gun but each seem to have their uses.

Love the aesthetics as well, nice crisp pixel art and vibrant colours.  Everything on screen was clear and readable and I never felt overwhelmed by any of the visuals.  Enjoyed the vibe all around, really solid little game!

Nice space invaders style game ^^

I like the variety here : weapons, the possible combinations, bosses, enemies. Quite a lot for a jam game.

The spritework is really cool in terms of details especially considering how low res they are :o and i dig the fact that you’ve synched the walk cycle speed to the player movement.

Music is also pretty boppin’

Gameplay wise i liked the fact that this is mouse controlled, it makes for super precise aiming, and the auto shoot without holding any button down is also a cool feature.

Had a good time trying this and managed to get a decent score (at least i think :p)

Overall solid entry, good job :)
