There is one button, it toggles between two modes when pressed.

Cool diegetic button! The game itself is cool too, I got 18 flies! I’d be glad to see more features or challenges in it! Your itch page is also very well designed

The frog is very cute! I liked how the buttons are a part of the world rather than just a UI.

Nice concept and great art direction, I think that the platforms may be moved a little bit (but it is because i had some struggle with them) but in the overall, great game

Ah, I think the collision boxes needs to be tinkered with, thank you for letting me know! I did get stuck on them a few times myself aswell. I'm glad you liked it overall tho

Cool game you used the limitation very well but sound is missing! And when you jump you character is always facing left. Overall good job!

Funny enough the facing left animation was the last thing I tried tinkering with before I decided to not try break my game again  ahaha defiantly something that I'll work on as well as adding in some sound. Thanks for the feedback tho!

I'm glad someone did a literal "one button, two functions" take on the limitation! I was thinking about something like that but went with one input button instead. Very hard game but loved the art on the frog. Great first submission!

Honestly thought more people would go this route tbvh... Was kinda thinking "Man is this way too obvious, bet a billion others are doing the exact same thing." Would of loved to see what Robot Run would of looked like if you went for a literal button. Thank you for taking the time to play and comment though!

Closest I got out of 6 tries was 8 flies. I thought I could cheese the game a few times but it alwasy got the better of me 😂

The game is pretty hardcore, it punishes mistakes harshly, but I liked it. Too bad I couldn't get past 12 eaten flies.

I'm sorry, this made me laugh like a sadist ahahahaha

Yeah unfortunately having the fly's all start to swarm in on you with very little way of escaping / maneuvering around is not easy aha. Perhaps this could be fixed with multiple buttons around a scene so that the player has more control over where the fly's go. Or at the very least provide ways of moving around where the flys' can't follow.... hmmm.. Oh well, something to think about / experiment with. Thank you for playing regardless!

I liked how you implemented the limitation in the game. The art is really nice. It just needed more feedback for the player, like when taking damage, pressing the button or eating insects—maybe some shaders, sounds, stuff like that

Thank you for the feedback! More player feedback is exactly the sort of thing it's missing currently (aswell as music etc.) so will be excited to start thinking about them more seriously in the next jam (or if I continue this project) and to defiantly look into shaders as I have only seen a introduction tutorial about it. I'm glad you liked the implementation and art however!
